We had an amazing dinner tonight. It was inside the Piazza del compo and we thought it may be too touristy but we were very wrong. Great food with great service.

Great place on the square. Food is good, not great, and service was slow. We ordered a green salad and cacio e pepe and waited 30 minutes after ordering to be served. Waiter seemed impatient answering questions. Not surprisingly, you pay a premium to eat anywhere at the square.

We had a late lunch here, pizza and salad. During our meal it poured with rain and the staff cheerfully set up a table inside and moved us and our food mid meal. Good food, good service, recommended!

Excellent location with a fantastic view of Piazza del Campo. Despite being a tourist place the cuisine is of a good standard. We appreciated the platter of Sienese cured meats and cheeses, ravioli and pappardelle with wild boar ragù accompanied by a good Chianti. Friendly staff, fair prices considering the location. I thank the lady who, despite the bad weather, kindly reserved a table for us in an optimal position. Thanks we will definitely be back!

The aperol spritz was fine, too watery in my opinion. Good view of the square. One day I will receive the olives I ordered twice and never came…they looked good from other people’s tables.

14/08/2024: Gorgeous Tuscan experience. Perfect location in a picturesque little town. We sat at tables in the little square outside the restaurant under the clock tower. Great food and service
14/07/2024: We stop by IL LECCIO since many years and Gianfranco and his team always „deliver“! After a big round of Brunello-tastings at cellars of good friends we came back to Sant Angelo in Colle last thursday. As my wife just loves the Bistecca Fiorentina in this house, we had small starters (his classic, the stuffed Zuchini flowers and a chicoree-salad) with Parmigiano) and than „went for it“ … 1,2 kg of the best beef you can get! (A little dissapointing this time was the temperature of the Brunellos - too warm!!) But the following Tiramisu made us forget the warm Brunello (which me pimped with an icecube by the way) - THIS is THE BEST Tiramisu on planet earth!

08/05/2024: Recently renovated hotel with large rooms. Beautiful view of the valley from one side. Delicious breakfasts and friendly service. Part of the hotel under renovation in 2024. Approx. 20 minutes walk from San Gimignano.
28/04/2024: Beautiful views. Delicious food. Very friendly staff.
