Generous and authentic cuisine at Osteria de Monsummano At first, we had a little doubt when we saw the dark interior contrasting with the bright exterior for our two lunches as a couple. But what a nice surprise once installed! **Dogs are accepted**, which is always a plus for us. When it comes to cooking, we eat well, even a lot! The dishes are **generous, copious and above all tasty**. We feel here the soul of the cuisine of yesteryear, like at home, with family. Vegetarian solutions are present on the menu, but it is also possible to compose your meal with the help of the good advice of the boss who knows how to guide you. I would never have dared to try chickpeas, but after recommendation, it was a revelation! A simple dish, but incredibly good. We also ordered the **pappa al pomodoro**, a Tuscan specialty that we had tasted the day before in another restaurant, served in a ramekin. Here, we were treated to a **salad bowl** for the same price, a rare generosity! We didn't try the wine this time, but as for the dishes, a special mention for the **radicchio with gorgonzola**: a real treat! The pomodoro pasta is classic but excellent, and I have fond memories of my **sage ravioli**. The only downside: **the wait**, but it’s also proof that everything is prepared to order with fresh products and a lot of love. It’s worth being patient! In short, a great culinary experience with generous dishes and a real touch of tradition.

I had a great time. Friendly, very generous and good dishes (although obviously with a lot of frozen fish like almost everywhere now) at very honest and low prices. Advised.

Quite slow service and on top of that they rush you by saying that it's late and we went at 2:20 p.m.... They don't try to understand you, if they tell you something that you don't understand, they are not able to repeat it slower or differently, they just laugh and do gestures like it doesn't matter. The pasta is not of good quality and is also very salty. When we went they had almost nothing, a dish that we told them, a dish that they said they didn't have. They also had a child of about 10 years old working with them.
