Cibo di qualità con proposte ricercate, nuove ma non pretenziose. Chiudere il mio soggiorno a LIcata in questo locale è stata la classica ciliegina sulla torta

With only a few tables, Oste e Sacrestano provided us with an intimate and refined experience, perfect for an evening among friends eager to indulge in a high-quality dinner. The offered menu is a true masterpiece of creativity and innovation, built upon a deep understanding of local traditions and culinary values. Chef Peppe showcased extraordinary skill in transforming top-quality ingredients into authentic culinary works of art. Each dish told a story, a journey through flavors and textures that exceeded our highest expectations. What made our evening even more special was the affectionate presence of the chef among the tables. Cozy place and kind and attentive staff. The food is delicious and of excellent quality. From here we can see the precious search for delicious local raw materials. The wine list is also excellent, both by the bottle and by the glass. Superlative desserts. The price is well proportioned to the quality. Peppe is a magician at enhancing flavors and creating combinations. I've gone several times, each time I leave amazed. Highly recommended.

L'osteria si trova nel centro storico di Licata, all'interno di un vicoletto (non è visibile o segnalato e questo è un peccato). Il locale è molto intimo, poche sedute e ad accogliervi c'è una signora gentilissima che con amore e tanta premura vi spiegherà tutto il percorso degustativo. I piatti sono stati uno migliore dell'altro, ma a mio parere top sono stati il suo "cappuccino" (non vi descrivo la pietanza così non vi rovino la sorpresa) e il suo dolce che sarebbe riduttivo spiegarlo. Se vi trovate a Licata o nei dintorni dovete assolutamente andarci, primo perché lo chef merita e in secudis perché la professionalità qui è accompagnata da buona dose di gentilezza e affabilità ( e questo non è da tutti).

I was there this evening for my wife's birthday, very quiet and private location, service and friendliness not lacking, the Chef explained each course how it was cooked. The very local cuisine of the place and the dishes based on the season... what can I say? Gourmet up to par, but for me a little advice, pasta in the height of summer for me I would change it with another dish...

Not knowing the courses is like watching an arthouse film without reading the plot; an adventure in which every bite is a discovery, an artistic reinterpretation of ancient flavors with modern mastery. Traveling is often an experience of exploration and discovery, and Peppe and Chiara's blind menu is truly a journey. It is an experience that stimulates the desire to experiment, overcoming the fear of uncertainty and the unknown. Many complain that it is not written on the menu what the courses are, but in reality, this uncertainty is the true essence of the experience. I will return to Oste del Sacristano not out of uncertainty and the desire for discovery, but out of nostalgia for a place where I felt welcomed, surprised and, above all, where I had a great time. It is a destination that I recommend to anyone who wants to venture into a unique, profound and authentic culinary experience.
