Siamo stati attirati dal profumo di carne alla brace che si spandeva per strada e il nostro naso non è stato deluso. Abbiamo trovato un locale confortevole e un servizio eccellente. Siamo stati coccolati dal personale che ci ha consigliato il meglio. Che dire..., abbiamo ordinato una fiorentina di chianina da più di 2 kg da condividere in 4 insieme a vari contorni. La carne era buonissima, così come il vino locale consigliatoci. Per finire, dopo i cantucci e il vin santo (direi obbligatori in questa zona), abbiamo potuto gustare la "biadina", un liquore locale prodotto da varie erbe tipiche delle fattorie della zona.

My review concerns the restaurant which has two rooms for guests and a third, with tables, which hosts a fair variety of typical products... We arrived in Lucca after much wandering in traffic and in the rain... The staff immediately welcomed us with a smile, assigning us a table even though it was almost 3pm! Inside, the rustic setting and above all the scent of the meat browning on the griddle immediately reassured us. We ordered a first course of pici dell'Oste to be cut into pieces and then we attacked with a 1.200 kilo Florentine... With baked potatoes and vegetables... The meat was "butter"! Flavored with a drizzle of oil and rosemary! Everything delicious!!! We ended lunch with cantucci and vin santo and a coffee! Recommended if you love a fast, no-frills service that focuses on the essence of things, but also gives you some time to let your impressions settle. Lucca is always beautiful, whatever the season and the weather! Ps. The photo of the meat isn't there, because we mauled it! 😜

Excellent place located within the walls of Lucca. Very good first courses and desserts but the meat is the TOP. Our waitress Andrea was super professional and very nice at the same time. Highly recommended if you are passing through Lucca.

I'm still sitting at the table in this restaurant and I felt the desire to write a review to compliment the excellent food, but above all the sensational service, thanks to Alberto, Andrea and all the other very kind and very fast guys.

We come to Lucca every year, we go to Oste di Lucca every time. Tasty cuisine, very competent and pleasant staff. The price is reasonable. but Only downside, ⚠️Be careful, menu price €6 for dessert, charged €8. Check your tickets ⚠️...

I'm not a great connoisseur, but I thought every thing I tried was fantastic - appetizers, main courses, coffee, wine and dessert. And I might add that I haven't appreciated rosemary as a spice so far, but it looks like I'm about to become a fan. I highly recommend it! I'm not an expert, but everything I tried was fantastic in my opinion – whether it was the appetizers, main dishes, coffee, wine, or dessert. And I should add, until now I didn't appreciate rosemary as a spice. I highly recommend it!

We hebben onlangs bij dit restaurant gegeten en ben nog steeds onder de indruk van de ervaring. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, werden we verwelkomd met een warme glimlach en uitzonderlijke service. Het personeel was zeer attent, vriendelijk en zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen op ons gemak voelden. Het eten was uiteraard heerlijk! Ik kan dit restaurant van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een culinaire ervaring gecombineerd met bijzondere service.

25/10/2024: As soon as we walked in to this wonderful restaurant the owner Louis made us feel at home. The atmosphere and decor were a background to the excellent food and service. It is not often that you take your time eating to enjoy every mouthful. Thank you again for a fantastic evening.
22/10/2024: This, in my opinion, is the best restaurant in Lucca. Five minutes after sitting down at the table I felt like I was in Paris, in the beating heart of the French city, completely forgetting that I was in Lucca. The cuisine is delicious, they offer dishes that are not too complicated and you can feel that they use French techniques to cook, combining everything with the best Italian raw materials. I was mainly struck by two dishes, the fillet in chianti sauce and the dessert whose name I don't remember. The fillet was very tender, it melted in the mouth and the sauce with which it was accompanied made it unique, both for its goodness and originality, it was absolutely not the classic fillet that is eaten everywhere. Of the dessert, however, I was enraptured by its consistencies, many and of different types, obviously the taste also left nothing to be desired. They have a fair selection of wines, obviously there is a lot of France in this cellar. The service is very convivial and attentive, you feel at home here, congratulations indeed. As for the decor, I have nothing to say because it left me speechless. For anyone who has been to Paris, coming here is an emotion.
