What a wonderful discovery in the heart of Messina. We stopped for dinner and were truly impressed by the quality of our food. The pizzas are meticulously crafted, with a light dough and fresh ingredients that are evident from the first bite. I particularly appreciated the pairing of prosciutto with walnuts, a refined touch that makes the dish special. The atmosphere is pleasant and refined, perfect for enjoying a quiet evening. We will definitely be back very soon.

Overall, a standard Italian sit down restaurant experience, meaning you are charged €2~3 coperto or chair fee (cover charge). Take note of this, if you are not familiar with this practice. We ordered a pizza and asked for “light done, not crispy, absolutely no burnt black parts.” Pizza came and had a number of black burnt parts. See pic. We complained and were told that pizza crusts are not baked on site, only heated. That does not seem to me as the correct way to make a pizza. Should be about 90s in a wood fired oven. That’s it. No multi-step, multi- location baking process. Too many filthy pigeons nosing around. Anyway, we had to remove a couple stars because of all these issues.

We really enjoyed our pizzas + local beer. The simple Margherita pizza was fantastic.

The tuma cheese in filo pastry was excellent as an appetizer. The triple-baked Margherita pizza was exceptional. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I enjoyed every bite!! The wait time was normal, just as it should be. The staff were extremely knowledgeable, and when I asked about the triple-baking process (I didn't know it existed), I received an exemplary explanation. Location: Piazza Duomo and the cathedral right in front of you!! Beautiful. I'm very satisfied. Compliments to the entire staff, especially Elio and Marco, who were very professional and polite with me. €22.50 for an appetizer, a pizza, 75cl water, a glass of red wine, and a cover charge.

Dinner with a view of the Duomo. Delicious pizza, highly recommended, with fresh, traditional ingredients. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy dinner in the Duomo.
