Nice ambience, the food was good but absolutely overpriced...we paid 160 euros for 2 people...the price-performance ratio is definitely not right here.

Officina di Mare in Lipari is a restaurant that certainly deserves 4 stars for several reasons. First of all, the welcome from the staff was warm and professional, making guests feel at ease from the first moment. The location is particularly suggestive, offering a unique atmosphere that contributes to making the culinary experience pleasant. Moving on to the food, raw meat is the real protagonist of the menu. The raw dishes are expertly prepared and offer fresh and authentic flavours, demonstrating high quality. However, the oysters did not reach expectations: opened in a less than optimal way and of less than excellent quality, they represent a small sore point in an otherwise excellent context. The first courses, although decent, cannot match the level of the raw ones. The flavors are less incisive than in other fish restaurants in Lipari, leaving a bit of a bad taste in the mouth of those who expect the best in every course. Finally, the value for money could be improved. Even if the raw dishes are of excellent quality, the overall experience does not fully justify the cost, especially considering the small flaws and the not always uniform quality of the dishes. The quality of the food is really high. The pasta is excellent, both in terms of cooking and flavours. Attentive and friendly staff. Children's menu available. Excellent price for the quantity and quality. Well done, I recommend it.

We had dinner in this restaurant during our stay in Lipari, driven by the reviews and the beauty of the place and above all by the location, given that it is located on the main street. We opted for the tasting menu (€40 per person in July, I think it increases in August), but it didn't turn out to be a good choice in my humble opinion. We started with an entree based on salmon and lemon caviar, then an appetizer which included salmon tartare, prawns and scallops, first stuffed buttons and then sliced ​​tuna with caper mayonnaise. Leaving aside the fairly small quantities, some dishes were tasteless, like the buttons for example. We wanted to have a dessert, cannoli, but the price was really high compared to anywhere else on the island. The staff and owner are very kind and helpful. Prices are high! I wasn't satisfied, but I think there is ample room for improvement.

Sono stato in questo ristorante con la mia ragazza preso anche dalle buone recensioni e buona immagine vista da fuori. Abbiamo fatto il menu degustazione, che comprendeva antipasto, primo e secondo. L’antipasto era buono ma niente di esaltante, il crudo si sentiva che era di qualità e anche la capasanta era buona. Riguardo il primo piatto per quel giorno c’era una variazione e ci hanno dato delle busiate con pesto di pistacchi e gambero rosso, piatto che a mio avviso non era ben identificato nel senso che non sembrava di mangiare un piatto a base di pesce.. per il secondo invece il tonno scottato era buono, ottimo l’accostamento con la cipolla dolce ma penso sia un piatto che non richieda una grande preparazione. Tutto sommato un buon ristorante ma che a mio avviso non vale i soldi che spendi, c’e di meglio a Lipari.
