The truth is we didn't like it very much, they charged us 4 euros per cover (we ordered two drinks, a pasta to share for two people and a coffee and a tiramisu for a third person). They do not warn about this extra price per cover and it would be good if they did. The pasta was very little, not enough to share and we ordered it that way because in other places it was enough for one person (well it depends on your hunger) and the truth is we didn't like the flavor very much.

Five of us arrived without a reservation and they found us accommodation in a very short time. Small but welcoming place, we felt a bit at home. We took the order after a few minutes, in which we were advised by Matteo, the owner's son, who explained each dish of interest to us in an exhaustive manner and at the same time helped us, after some indications, to choose the wine (wide choice of national and local wines). Lunch was satisfying, plentiful, of excellent quality and taste; requested dishes: paccheri all'amatriciana, tonnarelli cacio pepe and saltimbocca alla romano. Desserts both homemade and from pastry shops (tried both) were excellent, with a personal predilection for the first courses.

Beautiful trattoria in the heart of the village, I highly recommend it to everyone. High quality dishes and very kind staff.

Comfortable and familiar atmosphere, excellent food

You need to be aware of precisely the things the last reviewer wrote: A few things to be aware of: I am copying his words because they were exactly our experience. - this isnt a small hole in the wall type place. It actually connects through to the large Venerina restaurant on the main street. They seem to share staff and a kitchen. - They point blank ask you for and expect a tip even though a service charge is on the bill anyway. Perhaps this is preying off American tourists but Italy doesn't generally have a tipping economy. Telling customers that the tip is not included and expecting one when you go to pay with your card even though there is a service charge is not acceptable. Food was okay, but there are better places for Roma cuisine. I recommend going elsewhere and would not come here again.

Very quiet side street, away from tourism. The calzone was the best dish of our vacation and it was also good value for money. Definitely recommended if you are near the Vatican.

First, the food was very good. Tried a pizza, pasta, insalata and a bottle of Barbera. The entire meal also came out just ten minutes after ordering...later I realized why. This isn't some small eatery. It's part of the huge restaurant attached behind it, so they've got the power to turn out a lot of good food fast. The bad is that when paying, they remind you that there's no tip added and ask how much and how you'd like to tip them. This is not a good look and it's not generally a tipping culture. They're leaning into the western tourism and why wouldn't they? Most are going to cave in and add a tip in this uncomfortable scenario. And it's probably the entire reason for having a sub 4.0 rating in Google. Be aware.
