Locanda Sensi In Rivergaro

Mediocre experience. After hearing so much about this place, we went for dinner last night. The off-menu menu included dishes with white truffle, and we chose two of them, a first course and a second course. We were told that the truffle would be added directly in the kitchen, 5g per dish... so it wasn't. I'm attaching a photo. Furthermore, we paid the bill in cash, leaving it on the table. When we left (even though we'd been standing at the register for 10 minutes), a lady asked us to wait to check if we'd actually left the money, with the excuse of needing to give us a receipt. When she came down with the bill of almost €400 (2 adults and a child; I won't argue about the price because we're used to it, but I'm certainly not running away), she said goodbye, leaving us the PRE-BILL, not the receipt. After that, I convinced my husband to go in and ask for the receipt because I don't like cheats. Too bad, it's all talk and no action!

A charming location nestled in the green hills of Piacenza; the welcome is warm and friendly, and once you sit at the table, you sense intimacy and relaxation. Simone (the owner) is a delightful, empathetic, and highly competent person, as are the chefs, who amaze you with exquisite gourmet dishes, from appetizers to dessert. The wine and spirits menu offers a wide selection, some artisanal. There are two suites, each more beautiful than the other, equipped with an in-room sauna and hot tub, a spa, and a soothing Zen garden. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back ❤️

A few minor difficulties with the GPS getting there, but everything was TOP! The location, menu, wine list, and recommendations from the owner—an enchanting place. A talented harpist provided the background music for the evening. Everything was perfect, including, of course, the dishes: among the dishes we tried were the incredible pisarei, brilliantly reinterpreted, and a masterpiece of tiramisu. I'll be back to try the meats. I have no hesitation in recommending this place!

I had already been but years ago, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the place/staff/food has not lost quality at all, on the contrary it has gained. Everything very good, friendly and helpful staff, neat location.

A place to absolutely try. I could only give excellent opinions on the restaurant, in every aspect, but I strongly suggest going there in person to judge how and what is served at the table. I, to be safe, will never leave it.

Review for the restaurant Lunch on April 25th, probably in the best place visited in the last year. Impeccable service, everyone proved to be extremely affable and helpful, from the chef to the guys in the dining room. The attention to detail and the attention with which the raw materials are chosen and processed shines through perfectly. Balanced “Sensi” tasting menu (not too many courses, correct quantity), even in price. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thanks to all the kitchen and dining room members 🫶🏻
