Locanda Rossa In Capalbio

Our stay at Locanda Rossa was absolutely beautiful. The property is breathtaking, the staff took excellent care of us, the food was amazing - it could not have been more perfect. We also enjoyed the nearby beach resort and close proximity to the train station. We would love to visit again some day!

The Locanda Rossa is a corner of paradise just steps from the Tarot Garden. The rooms are beautifully appointed with stunning attention to detail! Not to mention the lush greenery surrounding the property, all in perfect harmony. I'll definitely be back!

Idyllic and relaxing hotel, with amazingly large rooms that were very well cared for, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. We had a huge kitchenette in our room. The property was fantastic. Great food, breakfast buffet, relaxing and approachable vibe but definitely 5 star quality. 2 amazing pools, one for adults and one for kids.

Bello! Grande! Locanda Rossa is a magnificent place, very well maintained with a very attentive team, understanding of my partial command of Italian and English. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to junior following our arrival. We had taken the Garden Tarots package to visit the nearby museum. The concierge booked the tickets and shuttle rides for us. On site, the swimming pool and sports facilities are top. The decor is sublime. Everything was perfect, we will be back 🤗

Fantastic location and services Exceptional staff

Spent three nights while visiting southern Tuscany. It’s a beautiful hotel, nicely located if you plan to visit other small towns around and the coast. We found the concierge super friendly and helpful sorting out our beach reservations, the rest of staff perhaps not as friendly, we found them a bit cold and dry. Nice gym and good swimming pools for both adults only and children.

We were impressed by the kindness of the staff. Special remarks to the lady in charge of the breakfast, always very attentive and ready to solve little problems as we had with a bee that would not leave our un table.

We had a wonderful time in a part of Tuscany we had never visited before. The hotel is hidden away in the picturesque tuscan countryside. It felt rural, whilst only being an hour away from Rome and within easy reach of the historic towns of Capalbio (10 mins drive) & Orbetello (30 mins). The coast and some fantastic beaches also within easy reach. The hotel has an excellent restaurant for evening meals with a very good local wine menu, together with an all day lounge bar with separate food menu, which is also varied and with much locally sourced products and ingredients. The hotel restaurant hints at a farm to fork ethos, which is commendable, but I think more could be made of this point and the wider sustainability benefits this brings. There is a decent gym onsite, two pools, padel and tennis courts. A very helpful concierge who very quickly and efficiently made arrangements for our requests for activities and restaurants. Overall an excellent hotel and memories made. We wouldn't hesitate to return and to reccomend a stay here.

Incredibly stunning place in the rolling hills of Tuscany, just over an hour drive from Fiumicino, and a 10min drive to the beach. Family friendly whilst beautifully designed, great service, and the garden space of the villa was epic. Only downside really was the food, breakfast was great but lunches & dinners didn’t quite live up to the price/luxury experience in every other aspect - worth getting a villa and using the bbq instead.
