Wonderful location. The restaurant is on a hill filled with olive trees. The terrace offers a stunning view. We dined in the winter, but I think it's at its best in the summer.
We chose the "Radici" tasting menu for €65 per person.
The delicious entrée perfectly captures the flavors of what you'll be eating. The chips with zucchini scapece are a delicacy.
The crispy egg is the chef's signature dish; perfectly cooked, the mix of textures makes the dish fabulous.
The pumpkin risotto was truly delicious; the licorice adds a touch unique to this dish.
The manzetta (beef stew) is the dish that, in my opinion, surpassed the crispy egg: the meat melted in the mouth, and the vegetables and cardoncelli mushrooms had an authentic flavor.
Latte, caffè e sambuca is an excellent dessert, as is the small pastry. The cream puff with Chantilly cream was a bit disappointing because of the unbalanced proportions and the dryness. The delicate cream didn't help the flavor.

Melizzano, located in the heart of the Sannio region, is well worth the trip. From here, the Taburno mountain range is imposing, and vineyards are everywhere. The d'Amico brothers—Angelo, the chef, and Giuseppe, the mother—welcome you to a bright and welcoming restaurant. The cuisine is based on homegrown ingredients, creatively prepared with inspiration from the region's roots. Paired with a wide selection of local wines.

An excellent experience in every way. The staff stands out for their professionalism and courtesy, with impeccable, prompt service and attention to detail. The dishes are of the highest quality, made with fresh, authentic, home-grown ingredients, and beautifully presented. The tasting menu is rich, varied, and truly satisfying. I had the opportunity to sample original dishes, with unexpected yet perfectly balanced flavor combinations. Honorable mention goes to the desserts and pastries, truly delicious and carefully crafted.
The restaurant is beautiful and elegant, surrounded by greenery, creating a charming atmosphere that is particularly captivating in the autumn. A restaurant that combines creativity, quality, and customer service: highly recommended.

Amazing dinner! Chef Angelo delighted us with dishes of the highest quality in taste, refinement, and aesthetics. An unforgettable experience combining ancient flavors with new interpretations. There were four of us for lunch, and each of us chose different dishes, allowing us to sample practically the entire menu. We ate wonderfully; top-quality ingredients, simply cooked with a focus on enhancing the flavors. Among the savory dishes, honorable mention goes to the cappellacci allo scarpariello, the duck, and the beef. Finally, they brought us a remarkable selection of small pastries in addition to the desserts we'd already ordered, each one better than the last!
The service was also perfect, a 10/10 experience. We'll definitely be back to try the new menus!

Incuriositi da un articolo sullo chef D'Amico abbiamo fatto una deviazione rientrando dal Salento.
Già la location merita da sola la sosta ma tutto l'insieme, la cucina, la cortesia di tutto lo staff sono da applauso.
Abbiamo optato per uno dei menù presenti in lista con piatti di terra ma con piccola variazione proposta dallo chef per il primo.
Il menù ci è sembrato equilibrato con piatti dal gusto eccezionale così come le materie prime utilizzate.
Ottima scelta di vini sia del territorio sia di provenienza varia.
Conto finale equo in rapporto alla qualità.
Ringraziando Angelo per averci accolti nel suo locale sto già pensando ad una ulteriore sosta nel prossimo viaggio!

Locale molto bello con vista sulla valle sottostante. Ambiente curato ed elegante. Accoglienza molto cortese. Menù con piatti particolari con presenza dello chef che ho molto apprezzato. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Conto giusto.
