In my humble opinion, one of the top three restaurants in the entire region. The food is excellent (very varied and thoughtful appetizers), generous first courses, and incredibly high-quality meat-based second courses. The atmosphere is a dream. The wait staff is professional, especially Mimmo, an excellent host who takes great care of his guests. The quality/price ratio is reasonable. Rotondella, a wonderful little village.

Great Basilicata’s food experience.
Our menù was simple like traditional Basilicata food, yet sooo good.
Frizzuli and Cruschi are the must-try dishes to have a glimpse of the taste of Basilicata.
Prices were super honest, quantities more than average and the service was rustic like the one you can have at home.
Really, a place which deserves to be visited, maybe more than once!

I ate at Pane e Lavoro in Rotondella: the food was good and well-prepared, and the prices were average. The only thing I should mention was the slightly longer wait than expected. Overall, a positive experience.

The owner was extremely courteous and professional. A wide variety of excellent appetizers, fantastic Frzzul (fresh pasta handmade in-house by Mrs. Simona), and mouth-watering peppers. Excellent value for money.
Discovering the village of Rotondella and discovering authentic Lucanian flavors was worth the trip.

This restaurant offers a good value for money and uses top-quality ingredients. The selection of appetizers is truly remarkable and definitely worth trying to soak up the Lucanian atmosphere. I also tried the first courses, which were also good, although the dishes lacked a bit of punch compared to the appetizers. Overall, a place I would definitely recommend.
