If you go to Lecce, you absolutely must go to Mamma Rita's! You'll enjoy excellent dishes, and the pizza is a must! The best! Friendliness, professionalism, cleanliness—it has it all. I recommend making a reservation because there are so many people wanting to eat there from opening to closing!

Authentic food, truly traditional cuisine, in an informal, family-friendly setting, with still-affordable prices. The homemade pasta with horse meat sauce is truly excellent. Everything was excellent.

A traditional, home-style restaurant; some of the waitresses speak English. The portions are very generous for a more than reasonable price. The carbonara and the "Mamma Rita" polpette are excellent!

Good pizzas. Busy. Service was slow and inefficient. Maybe because we were a larger group of 15 our orders were slow and in some cases forgotten. Other smaller groups seemed to be happy. Remarkably inexpensive.

Just a stone's throw from the 8piuhotel and on the way to the old town, if you're looking for good, hearty, and affordable home cooking, then you've found it. This was our restaurant for three evenings, and we had no regrets. I highly recommend it.
