Locanda Grifo In Ossuccio

🌟 One of the best pizzas in all of Italy Il Grifo completely blew us away — especially with their pizza. Crispy, flavorful, and made with top-quality ingredients, it was honestly one of the best pizzas we’ve had in all of Italy. The view of Lake Como added even more magic to the experience. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere cozy and elegant, and everything we tried was delicious. A true hidden gem you don’t want to miss!

Stopped here for lunch. Beautiful shaded spaces outside were available so we grabbed one. An appetizer and pasta dish each was more than enough for lunchtime. Along with an excellent glass of Prosecco for only 5 Euro!!! Service was super friendly and a rather interesting menu was superbly executed. Bravo! What a lovely place. Plenty of indoor tables for those looking for something more cozy. Old school charm. Hope we make it back again one day.

Very nice stay at Il Grifo in June. Staff is very kind. Rooms are clean. Authentic atmosphere. Good food restaurant. A C10 bus stop stands at 3min. Greenway is also very close to join other villages (Lenno..). Lake accessible in 2 min for nice view. Slightly noisy due to some construction work outside. I recommend for a simple stay with authentic touch.

Perch risotto cooked in butter. A killer, enough to make you roll on the floor. Authentic restaurant where the local police came for lunch.

I’ve stayed at La Locanda del Grifo several times now, as it’s perfectly located near Villa Balbiano, where I often work. In the past, the rooms and service sometimes left a bit to be desired, but on my most recent visit, everything exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by warmth and care. The staff went above and beyond — I was granted early check-in after kindly requesting it, they made sure I had something to eat right away, and even helped me with internet access. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I was also upgraded to a higher-category room on the third floor. While getting up there with a suitcase wasn’t the easiest, the room itself was absolutely beautiful — spacious, fresh, and modern, with large skylight windows offering stunning mountain views. It was exceptionally comfortable and felt like a true retreat. The hotel restaurant is also worth mentioning — both lunch and dinner are available onsite, and the food is consistently delicious. Just note that during busy times, there may be a short wait for your meal, but it’s well worth it. I highly recommend La Locanda del Grifo to anyone looking for a stay in the Ossuccio or Tremezzo area. A big thank-you to the team for their hospitality — I’ll be happy to return soon!

We had the best honeymoon 😁😁 Lenno is beautiful, our accomodation was perfect. We got the best room at Grifo with a beautiful View to the lake. Staff very nice and helpful. Food very nice as weell. Our room was cleaned every day so we can not complain about anything.

The food is very good, the room is quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff and owner are very kind and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant

Very good cuisine and special mention for the veal with foie gras and wild garlic risotto. The highlight is the strawberry mille-feuille. We highly recommend it.

Un bel pranzo festivo con la famiglia. Abbiamo pranzato all'aperto, in contesto tranquillo pur se non particolarmente suggestivo, ma confortevole ed accogliente. Essendo una locanda storica propone giustamente piatti della tradizione locale, ma il menù è sufficientemente ampio da poter essere apprezzato da tutti. Noi siamo rimasti sulla tradizione ed abbiamo apprezzato la qualità dei prodotti, la preparazione dei piatti e la presentazione, che cerca di coniugare la storia con l'attualità. Il risultato è molto buono. Altrettanto valida anche la carta dei vini, con attenzione al territorio ma non solo. Il servizio è efficiente, cortese e disponibile. I prezzi sono medio alti, ma temo che siano influenzati dalla zona, particolarmente turistica. Consigliato.

Не стал бы называть кухню изысканной. Наоборот, простые домашние вариации с местной рыбой в составе. Хорошее вежливое обслуживание, обычный чистый интерьер (главный зал без окон). Но вот сами блюда не впечатлили. Если когда-то буду ещё, возьму не рыбное.
