L'800 is a restaurant that makes traditional dishes its strong point, without resorting to tourist banality but rather elevating them. I ordered: Anchovy appetizer - the Amantea tradition, in love with marinated anchovies Paccheri with tuna, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, onion, and almonds, an explosion of flavors yet well-balanced; I blindly asked for "the kitchen's favorite first course," and I believed him. Anchovies arriganati... local finger food to finish on a high note. I booked for lunch, midweek in August, inside the restaurant, but it was very quiet. The Locanda's location has a mixed style: you reach it from Piazza Mirabelli, through a narrow street, and up the internal steps of the building, before embracing a simple elegance inside. The balcony and garden overlooking Amantea perfectly combine these two aspects.

We visited this delicious seafood restaurant twice during our weeklong vacation in Amantea. Everything was excellent, with fast, punctual service. The outdoor garden is fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing experience.

The location is somewhat hidden, but the rooms are truly spacious, maintaining a certain level of privacy for anyone who arrives. The food is good quality, with the only drawback being a dish altered due to a lack of ingredients (the kitchen should inform the dining room staff in advance). Prices are in line with expectations.

This elegant restaurant was discovered by chance, as most places in Amantea are closed for lunch on Sundays. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed. Throughout the meal, the staff was highly professional, making our experience enjoyable. We ordered two main courses, two side dishes, a first course for the child, two glasses of Cirò rosé, a water, a tiramisu, and two coffees. Everything was excellent and elegantly presented. All this was accompanied by a pleasant temperature inside and background music that enriched our experience. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food.

We returned for dinner on Friday, July 18th, to try the tasting menu, and once again the experience was impeccable. We spent the evening in their splendid garden, a haven of peace and beauty that made the experience even more special. Every dish was a true masterpiece: from the fresh and flavorful tuna tartare to the millefeuille with kumquat jam, burrata cream, and red shrimp—a perfect balance of sweetness and savory. The first course confirmed the exceptional quality of the cuisine, with harmonious flavors and great attention to detail. We've been loyal customers for a long time, and each time we experience the same quality, professionalism, and hospitality. Thank you for never disappointing us: true excellence, from every perspective! 😍
