Saying that they have customers from Naples and Salerno I think is enough to understand the quality of the cuisine. Clean. Location always pleasant evolution. Elegant. Daniele, great artist in the kitchen. A place surrounded by nature. There is an air of home. Excellent excellent superlative

Tutto tutto squisito, menu degustazione 45 euro con entree di benvenuto, antipasto ( polpetta panata di salsiccia su crema di broccoli) , primo (panciotti ripieni con provola e pesto di noci e zucca che però ho chiesto di sostituite con una splendida zuppa di porcini e Castegne , trionfo dei sapori di bosco ( richiesta gentilmente accolta ), secondo stracotto all aglianico e sformato di patate da polluzione per l estrema bontà , dolce millefoglie ai frutti rossi buonissima. Semplicemente perfetto , scoperto grazie alla guida michelin , sarà una mia tappa fissa

The Locanda della Luna in San Giorgio del Sannio is a jewel set in the hills of Sannio, which offers a gastronomic experience linked to the authentic flavors of the Campania tradition. Entering the room, with its rustic details and welcoming atmosphere, you are immediately struck by the view of the surrounding countryside, which anticipates a journey through local products and recipes reinterpreted with elegance.
The meal begins with an appetizer that speaks of the territory: crunchy morsel of Castelpoto red sausage on scapece courgette cream. Here, the red sausage, a typical product of the Samnite tradition, is processed with care that enhances the spicy and intense flavour, balanced by the freshness of the scapece courgette cream, in a play of contrasts between acidity and sweetness that pleasantly surprises.
Followed by the main fish dish: Calamari stuffed with creamed cod and Caiazzo olives, on a chard and dried tomato salad. The calamari, perfectly cooked, contain a soft and tasty filling of creamed cod, made even more interesting by the savory accent of the Caiazzo olives. The chard and dried tomato salad adds a pleasant freshness, completing the dish with a touch of rusticity.
For the first courses, I savored two options that enhance the quality of the local meat and the delicacy of the autumn products. The Troccoli with Sannita Marche ragù and caciocavallo flakes are a tribute to the peasant tradition: the fresh pasta holds the dense and full-bodied ragù, while the caciocavallo adds a note of strong flavor that blends perfectly with the meat. The Stregottini filled with potatoes and provola cheese with pumpkin cream and walnut pesto represent an explosion of autumnal flavours. The sweetness of the pumpkin mixes with the creamy filling, while the walnut pesto adds a crunchy texture that enriches the dish.
To conclude, the Locanda's Tiramisu is a dessert that ends on a high note. Creamy, light, with a perfect balance between the flavor of the coffee and the sweetness of the mascarpone, it is a revisitation that does not disappoint expectations and leaves a sweet memory, like a reassuring hug.

Very nice place, very good cuisine but yesterday we ate half paccheri with cuttlefish ink with an octopus ragout that was worthy of a gold medal.
The Service confirms itself as unattainable, always perfect especially in managing the times between one course and another. You never wait.
