10/04/2026: I stopped by Le Conserve Bio in Forlì on a weekday afternoon, curious to see if their organic gelato deserved its reputation. Overall, the experience was good enough to deserve four stars, but there were a few things I felt could still be improved.
Let's start with the flavors: I tried pistachio, hazelnut, and a seasonal fruit flavor. The quality of the ingredients is evident, especially in the pistachio, which has an authentic and not too sweet flavor. The hazelnut is also well-crafted, creamy, and intense. The fruit flavor, however, while fresh, seemed a little less bold than the others, almost as if it lacked character.
The place is clean and welcoming, with a simple yet thoughtful layout. I really appreciate the transparency of the ingredients and the focus on organic, which isn't just a label but a consistent approach. The staff is friendly, although they seemed a bit rushed at the time, and the explanation of the flavors was a bit cursory.
The prices are slightly above the local average, understandable given the quality of the ingredients, but still noticeable.
In summary: an excellent gelateria, with good products and a distinctive approach. There are some small areas for improvement, but it's still a recommended stop for those seeking authentic, well-made gelato. I'll gladly return to try other flavors.
