Locanda del Sole In Chivasso

While passing through Chivasso, we were looking for a place to eat that felt cozy rather than sophisticated, with a genuine local vibe and really good food. I like the access method: you have to ring the bell and be welcomed, not just walk in…. The dishes reflect culinary traditions, elevated just enough, yet kept simple and honest so the flavors remain authentic. Nothing feels forced or overworked, just well balanced, thoughtfully prepared food that makes you feel both welcomed and quietly spoiled.

A very pleasant atmosphere with excellent service and food, featuring Piedmontese specialties, that combines appearance with quality. We returned two nights in a row, our only dinners in Chivasso.

We went to this restaurant where we found a beautiful setting and had a very good meal. Some dishes were a little salty, but that's the bare minimum. As for the service, well, the quality is poor there. It's unacceptable to find a glass that's not dirty but filthy in a place setting. I wonder how you can't see it. The same thing happened with the digestive, an equally filthy glass. But the nice thing is that despite these oversights, the same girl did the bill, didn't apologize, much less at least take the bitter taste off the bill...! That doesn't mean I expected a discount, but if you want a customer to come back, you have to pamper them. This service definitely needs to be reconsidered.

For lunch, I had the usual grazie, a traditional trio with a tasteful twist. (I've attached a photo.) I tried the guanciale, and it melted in my mouth. The food was excellent. The bottle of Kosta Boda on the table was a classy touch. Personally, I wouldn't have had modern tables, but overall, the place is elegant and classy. The staff was smiling, friendly, and efficient. I recommend it.

Excellent cuisine, fair prices, excellent value. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.
