I would not recommend the Locanda del Mercato. The only redeeming part of my time there was the focaccia tipo recco and their mojito. For a place named for local market goods, they should use fresh vegetables rather than canned goods (mushrooms, artichokes, and olives). The rest of the meal, while visually appealing was lacking in flavor. To say the dessert (tiramisu) was extremely disappointing would be an understatement, as it was inedible. Ristorante Locanda del Mercado was well below the expected quality for this location and price point.

Superb restaurant. The fresh fish of the day was delicious. The homemade bread. A very good white wine from the house. And the service was very friendly.

Central location, a bit out of the way to avoid the hustle and bustle of the main road. Quick service, glasses with very cute patterns, unfortunately when we asked for extra empty plates to share the pasta, they were both slightly dirty. Moving on to the food, we ordered two first courses. The pasta with pesto was a bit disappointing, very full of oil and the flavors were not very balanced. The green beans in my opinion were raw and tasteless, the potatoes slightly raw. The tagliolini with squid ink were superior to the pesto in terms of flavor, but the cooking could have been better. Having the mussels already shelled is not a good presentation. Very fair prices.

We were given a nice corner table. The bread was so delicious. The meals are well prepared. You have to try their hone made wines. The beer was crisp. The seafood plates are absolutely delicious. The owner made sure we enjoyed our time at her restaurant.

02/04/2025: Excelente servicio y excelente comida! Maravilloso ambiente con opciones de mariscos frescos y un bistec maravilloso. Nos encantó este restaurante tanto que fuimos 2 noches seguidas! Personal muy amable.
23/02/2025: Personale accogliente e amichevole e piatti di mare molto buoni. Aperto anche in bassa stagione con posizione molto comoda vicina al Gigante di Monterosso
