Very characteristic place, staff in medieval clothes, excellent food.

Excellent, generous dishes. The Ascoli olives have never tasted so good. The staff is attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it.

The atmosphere is unique because it's picturesque, but perhaps it's a bit too eccentric for me. Of course, that's the place's "signature." So you either like it or you don't. Food: gigantic portions (which is actually a good thing), but not knowing what it was (being used to Rome), I couldn't really appreciate the rest. The mixed fried fish was a bit disappointing: it was actually a lot of battered vegetables. It was good, but there were 2 olives and 2 cremini among 15 zucchini. The menu was a bit short: usually a good thing, but there wasn't much variety. Maybe they're more focused on pizzas? The service was okay, nothing exceptional, very informal. I was disappointed with the Sibillini steak, which was a bit dull.

We chose it quickly upon arrival in Ascoli Piceno. The restaurant is decorated in a medieval style and the food is good (try the tripe).

I booked at the Locanda del Medioevo to celebrate a very special occasion with my family. I wanted a place that would be "something to remember" and leave the feeling of having had an extraordinary experience. And I was satisfied. The "locanda" fully met my expectations. We were greeted warmly and escorted to our table to the sound of a background music that made the immersion in a bygone era even more realistic. The room is topped by a splendid exposed brick vault and enriched with wall paintings of knights and ladies, and metal shields hanging on the walls. The rich and varied menu features dishes with an ancient flavor and prices in florins. Our desire to sample as many things as possible led us to order different first courses, which nevertheless all arrived together on generous, steaming plates. The tagliate served for the second course were exquisite and perfectly cooked. Lorenzo, the owner, personally took care of the cellarman's duties and returned several times to ask if we needed anything else. A truly positive experience, so much so that I didn't waste too much time taking photos of either the venue or the food; I was better off enjoying the atmosphere of a special day in a special place.

In the heart of Ascoli Piceno, this little gem welcomes you with a medieval-style setting, very nice, fast staff... we obviously had the Ascoli olives and some pumpkin gnocchi with bacon and chopped pistachios... recommended

I was first struck by the quaint location, but what left me speechless was the deliciousness of the pizza... super crispy, light, super good... even the top-quality sliced ​​steak, cooked just right, and the quality of the meat... I highly recommend it.

Excellent setting, waitresses dressed in matching theme, wrought-iron chandeliers, murals depicting scenes of medieval life on the walls, very evocative. Excellent cuisine. The service could only be improved a little, as we were told a dish wasn't spicy when it was (it was for a little girl...) and we were served a dessert that wasn't what we requested. The waitress would have just explained the type of dessert better instead of insisting that it was a zuppa inglese, so we would have chosen something else. Aside from that, the food was plentiful and of good quality; we'll definitely be back.

A very beautiful, rustic, and medieval place. The food wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go back a second time.
