Great service ! Awesome food ! Had the ravioli and pizzas.

The linguine with red prawns in a lemon sauce was wonderful. Server was very friendly and helpful.

The Pizza was delicious. I really recommend the place.

We were walking through Amalfi town looking for somewhere to eat for my Birthday which was the following day, the menu looked good and the inside looked very welcoming so decided to give it a try. The welcome was warm and friendly, its been family run for a few generations. Being British and living far from the sea, Octopus isn't something that's ever on my menu, I have only had it once before and it was as chewy as a flip-flop and about as tasty, Octopus seemed to be on a lot of menus on the Amalfi coast so I decided to give the grilled Octopus starter a go. OMG it was absolutely delicious, I was honestly shocked at how good it was. All of the items we picked off the menu were 10 out of 10, the whole dining experience was perfect, the place has a vibe that only happiness, dedication and a desire to show how to enjoy the best of Italian dining can give. The waiter gave us great advice on wine choice, she took her time to explain because some of the wines on offer are something us Brits don't get to see. My wife happened to slip in it was my Birthday! So, at the end of my meal the lights went out, the whole restaurant sang happy Birthday in several languages and they presented a tiny little lemon sponge with lemon cream and of course a candle. The gesture was lovely and the Lemon sponge was to die for. The waiter explained that it was a family run business and she was engaged to be married to the Chef in October. I wish them, and all of the team at Locando del Marinaio all the best and a fantastic future. A massive thank you for the Best Birthday dinner I have ever had. Love Dave and Trish 6th May 2025

We came in for a pizza, having noticed the neat and clean environment…we returned for days, particularly appreciating many well-kept and refined dishes (masterful frying, unforgettable risotto…and the wines that are no less…), all enriched by the precious advice of the staff, always present but discreet, and yet also genuinely nice and engaging. It has become our “little place of the heart” in Amalfi!

I cannot show enough love to this place. We were in Amalfi for only 3 nights and we chose to come twice. Every Meal was fantastic and every dish that appeared from the kitchen left us wanting to try it! We, and our Stomachs, Left happily

Situato nelle immediate vicinanze della cattedrale di Amalfi, questa locanda ci è sembrato subito molto accogliente ! Buoni sia i primi che la pizza, nota un po’ negativa sulla frittura di pesce per quanto riguarda il rapporto quantità prezzo ! Mi sento di consigliarla, i primi sono stati davvero buoni !

Abbiamo deciso di festeggiare l'arrivo del nuovo anno ad Amalfi e non poteva mancare di cenare alla Locanda del Marinaio. Per l'occasione un menù speciale del cenone della vigilia a base di pesce il tutto accompagnato da un buon bianco della costa d'Amalfi. Atmosfera molto gioviale e, tra una porta e l'altra, intonati canti della tradizione napoletana con tammorra e tamburelli ispirati dall'ottimo Antonio. Abbiamo gustato l'ottimo menù di pesce, all'inizio abbiamo fotografato i piatti, poi presi dal gusto e dalla bontà ci siamo immersi nell'atmosfera ma abbiamo recuperato con il dolce. Splendida serata, un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff per la cura e l'attenzione dei particolari in un giorno molto speciale.
