U' Zifaro In San giovanni a piro

Fantastic experience at the "U ZIFARO" restaurant. We tried the "linguine with bottarga and sea urchins," creamy and with a pure seafood flavor, and the "spaghetti with gin and lupini beans," an original dish. The fish was incredibly fresh. First of all, the staff were extremely kind, professional, and always smiling. They looked after you without being intrusive and offered excellent advice. The atmosphere was welcoming and spotlessly clean. Then there was the well-kept, tidy restaurant with an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. A restaurant that deserves more than five stars. Highly recommended.

This historic restaurant in magical Scario unfortunately disappointed our expectations. The service was different in different months, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. The excellent quality dishes were served in minimal portions, and the slow preparation of the main courses was unjustified. The desserts were nothing special. The staff, although friendly, were unable to make up for the small shortcomings.

Good food and nice restaurant but the price is definitely too high.

Strolling along the Scario waterfront, we couldn't help but notice this small and welcoming restaurant with a beautiful terrace overlooking the harbor. Two waiters, Arianna and Mario, greeted us, very kind and helpful, making the dinner even more special. Excellent seafood dishes, freshly caught. The linguine with lupini beans and gin is recommended. Not exactly cheap, but well-balanced for the quality.

A quiet and surprising evening. We'd heard about the "U Zifaro" restaurant, and we'd received both very positive and moderately positive comments. That's why I say "surprise," and a very pleasant one at that. The atmosphere was very elegant, yet simple and respectful of the typical traditions of Scario, a small port in the Gulf of Policastro. We had made a reservation for 9:30 PM, but after a long and pleasant stroll along the seafront, we found ourselves in front of the restaurant a little early. Everyone was very kind and helpful, and they seated us at a table on the veranda on the same seafront, overlooking the gulf. The menu was varied and rich in dishes, which, upon reading, revealed the intent to bring new dishes to the table while still respecting tradition and the products. Regarding the latter, I'll start by saying that the quality was excellent. Specifically, we sampled an excellent appetizer of fried cod on a bed of puttanesca sauce, a dish balanced between the intense, full-bodied flavor of the sauce and the perfect savory flavor of the star of the dish: the cod. Next, we sampled linguine with sea urchins and bottarga, and seafood scialatielli; despite 12 hours having passed since this experience, we still haven't decided which dish was the best, but both dishes were certainly exquisite and brought the seafood to the table with character. For main courses, we opted for an imperial fried fish (octopus, calamari, shrimp, and anchovies) and a lightly seared yellowfin tuna steak. Once again, we enjoyed high-quality products prepared in the finest possible way, allowing our palates to appreciate the flavor of the sea and the staff's love for preparing it. A pleasant evening, not only for the flavors we tasted, but also for the kindness and helpfulness of the wait staff. A very positive experience, with the bill perfectly in line with the amount eaten and the quality of the products. We will definitely be back as soon as we return to Scario. N.C.

Fantastic food. The atmosphere gets four stars since the staff had things laying around on tables and chairs. This is a very expensive place, lunch for two with water and a bottle of beer cost us €95

A small seaside village, a pedestrian area, and a tranquil atmosphere. Excellent food and service. The wine list is very interesting, showcasing the region's finest wines, such as the remarkable Biancolella di Ischia.

Waterfront restaurant with tables right on the harbor. Very tasty dishes and super fresh fish. The lobster paccheri and clam linguine are highly recommended.
