Beautiful venue, professional, and extremely friendly staff. Four stars for them alone. Average food.

The restaurant is hidden away in a narrow street, accessed by a picturesque old alley. The service is of the highest standard. The restaurant's decor is reminiscent of the old style, and the walls are adorned with artistic drawings and small curiosities, creating a unique, warm atmosphere. The food is delicious.

Even as you approach the restaurant's entrance, you can hear the story of its past: once an inn that welcomed writers, philosophers, and artists in general, but also the alley where Caravaggio was ambushed in 1609, where he was nearly fatally wounded... just as he was leaving the Locanda del Cerriglio. We had the pleasure of attending the "Dinner with Caravaggio" evening, performed excellently by "Masaniello e non solo," a Neapolitan actor. The atmosphere was unique, in the tavern lit only by candlelight. The food was a mix of "ancient" dishes and other traditional Neapolitan dishes. A truly beautiful place, which I absolutely recommend visiting.

La mia famiglia merita di essere annoverata tra quelle che non criticano mentre ti servono i pasti. Sanno che la vendetta si nasconde nascosta nel pasto. Ma in questo caso nulla da eccepire alla maestria dei cuochi che per il più atto più arduo come potrebbe essere un risotto alla pescatora ….
