We went to Locanda del Cerriglio on a Saturday evening for dinner, after hearing a lot about it from various friends. Expectations were not disappointed. The excellent and traditional food, the truly particular environment with the addition of Caravaggio who wandered around the tables telling his adventures and his works. An experience within an experience. Recommended. We will definitely be back!

A pleasant evening spent at Locanda del Cerriglio. Stunning and well-kept location to say the least. The pasta and potatoes are highly recommended (if you like pasta al dente, very al dente) as are the fish dishes, of excellent quality. Adequate value for money, a little expensive if you intend to dine on a budget. Definitely an experience that I would do again and that I recommend to everyone!

Definitely a suggestive environment, with important historical references, this is the place where Caravaggio is said to have frequented and where the accident that caused a gash on his face occurred. You enter via a narrow and characteristic alley and are then welcomed into the restaurant. Inside there are several rooms all full of references to the great painter, large and very elegant. My experience is of a Sunday lunch: good starters (meatballs and courgette flowers), decent first courses (Genoese and spaghetti with clams), good pastiera. The service and waiting times, however, were very slow (about an hour between starter and first course... among other things, we also had to wait about 15 minutes to take orders). Friendly and polite staff. Prices a little higher than average, but adequate for the type of place. It is still an elegant place and I would like to point out that on Wednesdays they have live jazz music

We went last night for a romantic dinner, the food was excellent, everything was very well prepared. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were really kind and professional. Congratulations to Cristian and Baram who took care of every detail and made us feel at ease straight away. We will definitely be back

Locale molto bello situato in un caratteristico vicolo storico di Napoli chiamato Cerriglio, non molto lontano da Piazza Municipio. Menù tradizionale napoletano vario e molto buono. Servizio gentile ed adeguato. Prezzi nella media.

Sono stato ieri sera a mangiare in questo splendido locale nel centro storico di Napoli. Il vicolo strettissimo che porta al locale è di una bellezza incredibile. Il personale è stato gentile ma ahimè una piccola delusione l’ho avuta dalla cucina. I piatti nelle foto e nelle recensioni facevano sperare in una magnifica cena che a pieno purtroppo non è stata. Ho assaggiato molti piatti ma tutti senza “carattere” senza quel intenso e ricco sapore partenopeo ho provato poco amore. Le polpette erano buone ma bruschette, peperone ripieno melanzane alla parmigiana, zuppa cannellini e scarola, la genovese e pasta patate e provola senza infamia e senza lode… Si spende alla fine qualcosa di troppo … per la qualità della cucina.
