This establishment sets the gold standard for accommodation and fine dining. It is a family run business in the mountains of Grizzana south of Bologna in Italy. During my four day stay I experienced superb original Italian food prepared by Norma and served by Beppe. Nothing was too much trouble, The ambiance was superb, with original decor and contemporary music. The accommodation was very comfortable and warm with quality fittings, tv and a well equipped bathroom. Prices were reasonable for the standard set. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Siamo tornati in questo locale, già conosciuto con la precedente gestione. Proposte con descrizioni accattivanti. Carta dei vini... inesistente: 4 bollicine, 4 bianchi e 5 rossi. Ordini un prosecco, ed è finito. Si ripiega sul pignoletto, che almeno è buono. I piatti hanno livelli disomogenei. Un polipo senza infamia e senza lode, una calamarata insapore servita in un piatto piano gelato (dopo pochi minuti era tutto freddo), una frittura ottima. Buoni i dolci. Prezzi assolutamente esagerati nonostante quello che si dice sui prodotti. Il proprietario pone domande, ma poi si rivela incapace di accettare quello che il cliente dice, e si ostina ad avere comunque ragione. Non viene la voglia di tornarci. Simpatico il giovane cameriere, che ha i numeri per migliorare.

I went with friends before visiting Rocchetta Mattei. Very nice and welcoming place. Friendly staff. We ate well, various pork appetizers with julien cherries, fennel and an excellent dessert. Very good wine. Prices a little high but we were aware of this. Overall a great lunch with friends

I stopped to eat in this characteristic, very intimate and cozy inn. Very kind staff and attentive to every customer's need. Impeccable service. The owner makes you feel at ease and as if you were at home. Then I was welcomed with a glass of prosecco and then I started with a nice second course AN EXQUISITE FILLET and a nice bottle of SANGIOVESE SUPERIORE red wine with potatoes. I ended up with a very good Nocino. Very nice and rustic place, the dishes are refined and of a superior quality. IT'S WORTHY TO ME.
