It's true that we're primarily interested in good food in terms of both quality and quantity (down with nouvelle cuisine!), and we found something we loved here. However, I must be honest and point out that entering the restaurant is a bit like stepping back into the 60s and 70s.
Everything we ate was delicious, accompanied by excellent table service 🔝.

I highly recommend it. My husband and I went to this restaurant today. The food is excellent. Impeccable service. Reasonable prices. Compliments to Locanda Cacciatori.

The staff were friendly even though it was late, the food was good as is often found in the Piacenza area, the atmosphere was a bit noisy but of course it depends on the customers, the prices were average.

An old-fashioned inn, but the food is authentic, featuring traditional Piacenza dishes. Top-notch cured meats, a decent selection of first and second courses, depending on the season. Good wine selection. Accurate and experienced service. Salami is served whole on a cutting board with a knife. Liqueurs are served by the bottle at the table. Few people do this these days.

On March 7th, we stopped for lunch at a historic inn with a quiet atmosphere, impeccable service, and excellent Piacenza cuisine. The price/quality ratio was good.
