The staff were friendly even though it was late, the food was good as is often found in the Piacenza area, the atmosphere was a bit noisy but of course it depends on the customers, the prices were average.

An old-fashioned inn, but the food is authentic, featuring traditional Piacenza dishes. Top-notch cured meats, a decent selection of first and second courses, depending on the season. Good wine selection. Accurate and experienced service. Salami is served whole on a cutting board with a knife. Liqueurs are served by the bottle at the table. Few people do this these days.

On March 7th, we stopped for lunch at a historic inn with a quiet atmosphere, impeccable service, and excellent Piacenza cuisine. The price/quality ratio was good.

The cuisine is solid and rooted in Piacenza tradition. Well-crafted first courses, perfectly rolled pasta, and rich sauces. The second courses are also plentiful and flavorful, with well-cooked meat and generous portions. The food is delicious and uncomplicated. The service is friendly, but a bit hectic. Ristorante Primavera

25/04/2026: Our second stop on the weekend, and the bar has definitely been raised. While the exterior retains the charm of a village trattoria, the interior surprises with its understated elegance and spectacular views of the valley at sunset. The staff is extremely friendly, and the house wine exceeded our expectations. The cuisine won us over with excellent gnocco fritto (fried dumplings) accompanied by quality cured meats, including a superb spalla cotta (cooked shoulder); the pisarei (a type of pasta) were also excellent. The only small complaint was that the tiramisu was perhaps served a little too cold. We say this with kindness, as Venetians, who believe tiramisu must be close to perfection, but it's a small detail that doesn't ruin an absolutely positive experience. Highly recommended for both couples and groups. Thank you!

Antica Trattoria dell'Angelo

10/05/2026: The food is clearly homemade, carefully prepared, and delicious (cured meats, fried gnocco, casoncelli, cod, apple pie). A half-point deduction for the casoncelli butter (a bit bland...) and a half-point extra for the apple pie with gelato (delicious!). The place is well-kept, though small, with excellent service and spotless bathrooms. The price is perfectly reasonable (not expensive). Well done!
