My girlfriend and I saw this inn while driving by and stopped for dinner; it was a great choice. The place is small but very intimate, well-kept, and incredibly clean. We ordered a charcuterie board with gnocco fritto to share, a plate of pizzoccheri (fantastic), and scallops with potatoes (delicious, it tasted like my grandmother had made it). Everything was delicious, accompanied by a very chilled house red wine. The owner is truly kind and the service is excellent. The chef puts passion into it, because the dishes are prepared well and with care. Truly well done!

We reserved the private room for my parents' anniversary. It was a pleasant surprise, very welcoming and well-heated. The pizzoccheri, sciatt, and perch risotto were truly delicious. The price was right. We'll be back soon.

We spent a week in Mandello and discovered this restaurant on our last day. A hidden gem on Lake Como. Excellent regional cuisine accompanied by great rock music. A cool guy and a great dining room. We'll be back next year.

A pleasant surprise. Very nice place and excellent food. Excellent service, everyone very friendly. The lunch menu is really good and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

Found the Locanda dei Bravi on a Sunday night as a short walk on the stone path leading downhill from my agriturismo (La Selvaggia). Beautiful view of the city and lake below. I ate the pasta the owner recommended. Just perfect. The local families at the other tables were enjoying the mild night weather with me, lots of laughter. Affogato then a torchlit walk home.

08/03/2026: Stayed local and decided to go check the local food establishment. I walked in as a solo and was greeted with smiles. The menu was easy to understand even with it in Italian and me being English. I ordered a bresaola pizza and a milanese de cortaleta. The pizza was exceptional and the veil was cooked perfectly. For €30 two courses of this quality and a beer was fantastic value. I enjoyed it so much i went back the next evening. This time I had a carbonara with local lake fish which was creamy and delicious and a different pizza this time with sausages and prosciutto. Both stunning again and this time €28. The staff were friendly and helpful. Each night someone spoke enough English and me pointing to get by. I would travel a decent way to eat here again. One of my highlights of my Italian trip
