Excellent lunch Spaghettone with cod was truly special Excellent pork chop

I was at the restaurant on May 23, 2026, around 10:15 PM. The place was empty, but we were greeted very warmly. The place is nice, the table setting nice, with cutlery that was perhaps a little dated. We asked for an appetizer or small change for two people and were told that the appetizers were those on the menu. We opted for a cheese platter for two people. Meanwhile, we were offered a welcome glass of bubbly with a quemelle of boiled potato with a drizzle of anchovy sauce. Delicious. We were brought a platter with some truly ridiculous cheese samples, I think they totaled no more than 15 grams. We ordered main courses, my wife asked for cod and was told it wasn't available (perhaps they should have told us in advance); I ordered a pork chop with creamed broccoli and was told that the menu was being changed and that the chop would be served with a cream of peppers... oh well... To drink, I ordered two glasses of wine, also because I didn't want to order a bottle and then leave it half full. We were brought two glasses of Kaja Nero, which on the menu costs 15 euros a bottle. Finally, the mains arrived and I was left with a paltry pork roll (perhaps specifying that it was the "Campania braciola"). The bill arrived. The two glasses of wine were 14 euros... the bottle was 15... and it was already open. I'm really sorry; I had the best expectations... I don't think I'll go back and I advise anyone who goes to be careful, very careful.

A charming place, excellent food, and attention to detail, a place where you can rediscover the authenticity of the region at the table. We'll definitely be back.

In 15 days, I had lunch at Locanda de Foris three times for retirement celebrations. I can't say which was the best, as all three were wonderful experiences. The ingredients were top-quality, cooked spectacularly by Pierino, and Martina, who was friendly, polite, and attentive in her service, served in the dining room. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

What can I say about this splendid location in the heart of Teano? The atmosphere is charming and welcoming. As soon as we arrived, we met the chef, who welcomed us with a truly excellent glass of sparkling wine. The highlight was the truly exquisite food (I didn't manage to photograph everything 😅), incredibly delicious and flavorful, and the service was excellent and truly meticulous. We were here for a colleague's retirement party. Everything was truly meticulous and excellent. I hope to return to this magnificent place.
