Finally, a review of the lunch. A super relaxing weekend. The property is meticulously maintained. We had a classic room with two windows and a wonderful view of the valley and the sea. The garden is beautifully kept, and the pool is a wonderful place to enjoy in solitude (since there are only four rooms, I don't think there's ever a crowd). The hot tub is also convenient. We appreciated the local products. We'll be back. As for the restaurant, we had lunch with friends. It was a well-deserved Michelin-starred lunch. Excellent value for the garden produce and delicious fish. The discovery of local products is appreciated, which sets it apart from other Michelin-starred establishments (where you could be anywhere). The dishes make you understand where you are. The chef, who comes to the tables to say hello and comment, is well done. The waiters were also attentive and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a tasting of their non-alcoholic cocktails. A real treat.

We had dinner on Saturday night, I correct myself, it wasn't a dinner, it was a fairy tale! In addition to the beautiful location with a fabulous view of the Magra valley and the sea in front, the place is very well-kept and finely furnished. We were pampered and spoiled by staff who were very attentive to our needs. We opted for the "Apuan Alps and Neptune's fingers" route, what can I say, an explosion of flavors with every course, a journey through the flavors of our region and neighboring Tuscany with a wine pairing that enhanced it even better. Truly a round of applause to the chef who managed to make us a fantastic evening with his creations.

Having done a tour on our own in different places, we had high expectations for this place because it was the only one where we wanted to rest and where we did not cook the food because for the other cities we rented from the locals. What a disappointment. Indeed, manager or owner nonexistent, obliged upon arrival to ask to see someone. The room was very noisy because it is located on the ground floor right in front of the entrance door. The soundproofing is poor and we could hear the footsteps of the people above. If you go to this place, choose the rooms upstairs. The owners delegate everything to a woman who is not really well. She has to manage breakfasts, clean the rooms and given her condition she would need help. The fact that she comes constantly in the morning to tell us her problems, to cry, even though it is not easy for her, makes us no longer feel on vacation and we do not have a peaceful lunch. Besides, the breakfast was not as great as advertised. No choice of cheese, you have to check on a sheet the day before what you want but again not very explicit. So you take what is brought to you. We asked for orange juice (even in a carton) there was none. The service due to the fact that she was alone is very slow. We do not blame this person who does the best she can and should not be told off by her superiors because we consider that they are responsible for what is happening. They bet everything on the restaurant which has just been awarded a star and give the impression of neglecting the rooms. Besides, the housekeeping was average, the beds made quickly. One evening the TV was not working, we had to go down to the restaurant and disturb the server (owner, manager???) as well as to ask for toilet paper because it had not been replaced. The minibar serves as a fridge but is too small. Not to mention a hairdryer for which the nozzle did not fit. In short, for us, it was a bad experience because there were too many mistakes made for such an establishment. In addition, the Wi-Fi network is rubbish and we were forced to connect via our phone. I repeat that I am not blaming the person who has to take care of a lot of things but the owners who delegate everything, do not supervise and who we never see. Besides, I hope they do not argue with the person who made mistakes because all the mistakes are theirs and they would do well to review the hotel aspect of their Locanda.

Wonderful culinary experience to discover the typical dishes of the Lunigiana area (and not only!), with numerous courses of fresh and delicious fish, various tastings garnished with locally produced vegetables and an excellent selection of wines, all made unforgettable by a splendid view of the surrounding area, sea and mountains, completely immersed in greenery. Desserts are exquisite. Very pleasant and also ideal for a romantic dinner. Compliments to the dining room staff for their great professionalism and kindness and, obviously, to the kitchen. Chapeau

The structure is unique and well-kept, with clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast, however, leaves much to be desired: the sweets (donuts, cakes, pangoccioli, pan brioche...) were dry and did not seem fresh, I would say almost inedible. The offer of drinks was very limited: only pear juices, only classic and green tea. Positive note: honey, yogurt, cold cuts and scrambled eggs prepared by Lacrima, a very kind and really nice person, who does everything possible to welcome everyone with courtesy. Unfortunately, being alone in managing the dining room, cafeteria and kitchen, the service suffers a bit in terms of timing, but certainly not for a lack of commitment on her part. Furthermore, three gin and tonics for 60 euros, prepared with Hendrick's (a commercial gin), seem really excessive to me - at that price you would expect a more refined gin. An unprofessional episode: while we were resting in the room after a long trip with two small children, the chef knocked saying he had to come in to fix the Wi-Fi. When we asked, he explained that the fault had been caused by a storm that had occurred days before — so an intervention that could have easily been scheduled for another time, without disturbing the guests in the room. Really unfair. Finally, a piece of advice to the owner: a little more attention to quality, organization and respect for the guests' times would really make a difference.

A very beautiful hotel run by a chef whose cuisine is one of those which gives you immense pleasure. Very pleasant and caring staff. We will most likely return.

I ate in this wonderful restaurant with a couple of friends and we chose the tasting menu "Portus Lunae", I asked if it was possible to have just for me the menu without meat and fish (I'm vegetarian). Despite the last minute notice they managed to serve extraordinary dishes!! Thanks to the chef and all the staff for the wonderful experience!
