We had lunch but we were not satisfied with either the taste or the quantity (the dishes were small).

I stayed overnight plus dinner, the owner and staff are all very good people, friendly and professional, while the room didn't impress me much, comfortable bed but the air conditioning too noisy, the dinner price quality we are not there, prices a little above average. Abundant breakfast 👍🏻 Free and large parking.

We were at the inn just for dinner and it was a wonderful discovery (the place was recommended to us by a friend who came for lunch). The staff were kind and very helpful, the cuisine was up to the standards of the wonderful place...

Typical dishes and local wines. What more could you want? We also tried a 50-month parmesan!

What can I say... exceptional, if there was a sixth star it would deserve it. Typical country atmosphere, informal surrounded by greenery, warm and welcoming. The owner and his collaborators add that extra touch to the convivial moment. Then let's talk about the food, superb local cold cuts, sublime first courses, the stew something special, and finally a treat: the homemade giardiniera. Next time I'll take advantage of the overnight stay... if that's the case.

We went here to eat but unfortunately we didn't enjoy it very well, some dishes were quite good, others left something to be desired, the service was just adequate, very superficial. And above all the price was too high for what we consumed 2 dishes each (starter or first or second course) a bottle of wine, water and desserts €60 each.

Da qualche anno mi ripromettevo, durante i giri in zona per lavoro, di fermarmi alla Locanda Motta, oggi ci sono riuscito e...ne è valsa davvero la pena. Il locale è rustico ma molto pulito ed accogliente. Si sente l'atmosfera della cucina genuina ed è ciò che (credo) la maggior parte delle persone cerchi. A pranzo viene proposto sia il menù del giorno (primo, secondo, contorno) sia il menù alla carta. Ovviamente il secondo è molto più ricco e invitante ma garantisco che anche quello del giorno (si può scegliere tra 4 piatti su ogni portata) è ottimo. La qualità del cibo è realmente elevata, si sente il sapore e il gusto della cucina buona. I piatti sono preparati al momento e non tirati fuori velocemente (perchè già pronti e riscaldati all'occorrenza) come avviene ahimè in tanti posti. Tutto buonissimo, al punto da meritare più tempo e rilassatezza, mentre io avevo un'autostrada da prendere per tornare a Milano... La cucina ha la porta spalancata, non hanno nulla da nascondere. E' bello vedere la passione e la cura di chi ci lavora per creare quei piatti prelibati. Anche le due persone che vengono ai tavoli sono molto cordiali ed attente all'ospite. Se posso trovare un solo difetto, ma più che altro è un consiglio, è avere una maggior cura dell'esterno del locale, sistemarlo in qualche modo. A prima vista si ha la sensazione di un posto abbandonato, o quanto meno lasciato un po' andare. Tutto si riabilita e si apprezza appena si varca la porta d'ingresso, con arredo caldo e tanto legno, tipico da locanda d'altri tempi, conservando però anche una certa eleganza ed uno stile particolare. Complimenti a tutto lo staff! Posto consigliatissimo se siete in zona, nella magica campagna reggiana. Si trova a 7/8 km dal casello A1 di Terre di Canossa Campegine. Alessandro Alfano
