Good tavern, with a fixed price menu with a modest base price, to which something must be added for some combinations of dishes. All really good, the only flaw in my opinion, the portions of the second courses are a bit small, but for the price and quality you can't really complain.

One of my fav places, close to the city center. Very local ingredients, good traditional recipes and very diversified menu. Everything with a friendly service. Unbeatable value for money in Lucca

Ottima trattoria, personale cordiale e disponibile. Menù scritto sopra una lavagna gigante. Ottima qualità degli ingredienti, prezzo buono. Pasta fatta in casa, come i dolci. A pochi minuti dalla Porta S. Maria. Consigliatissima.

Excellent food, well cooked and plentiful, fair price, highly recommended. Tordelli with meat sauce really good, see photo. More Arista with baked potatoes water. The Buccellato dessert soaked in vin Santo with mascarpone cream and a splash of delicious chocolate.

I confirm the opinions on the good reputation of the inn... good. The only note is that the prices are a little high for some very simple dishes... the house wine is also good. Really excellent focaccia/cover bread. Well done guys in the room. A must try for lovers of traditions

The Buatino inn has a welcoming and warm atmosphere. I don't know why it reminded me of traditional Argentinian places. The cuisine is truly excellent, halfway between traditional and innovative. Far from the madding crowd, it is the ideal place if you want to savor the culinary tradition of Lucca.

16/11/2024: We have visited the restaurant in 2001 and beside our surprise about the italian first and second dish we had the technology of analog telephony visible while we tried to pay by credit Card: someone used the analog Line, so payments had been blocked. Fantastic food, nice view, a Mist visit
07/10/2024: Tordelli piccoli e gustosi ,filetto con i funghi come il burro ..funghi fritti eccellenti …sempre un piacere ..,IL SOGGIORNO A PEDONA(Camaiore ) per non parlare della simpatia del proprietario sempre con la battuta pronta .....un po caro per essere sperso su a pedona...ma almeno una volta si può fare....nella media....non eccelle.
