A true inn, perhaps the best business lunch in the Lucca area. Penne all'arrabbiata, roast beef, and a special mention for the sautéed vegetables. A convivial and authentic inn atmosphere, with more than fair prices. Excellent value!

What can I say... when I'm in the area, I love going there. Authentic home cooking, excellent, and it brings back culinary memories. Generous portions and reasonable prices. The place is traditional, so it might seem dated or, if you look at it from a vintage perspective, it evokes the places of yesteryear.

Yummy and great value! Prefix menu, pasta, entree and side, $10-13 euro, includes bottle water. I had house wine $2.5 and cover $1 euro each. $27.50 euro for the both of us. Service and food good.

I had dinner here with friends. Unfortunately, I eat very little (I have to eat very little, but that wouldn't be my goal), so I had to settle for a main course and a dessert. The main course was FABULOUS: a Cinta Senese rosticciana, cooked until it was so tender you didn't even need a knife, very flavorful (but not salty). In short, if you go to the Buatino Inn, you absolutely must try the rosticciana. The dessert, an amaretti cake, was more than decent, but I can't express it properly because my taste buds were saturated with Cinta Senese, so I might be a bit too generous with this delicious cake.

Excellent food, well-cooked and plentiful, reasonably priced, highly recommended. Tordelli with ragù are truly delicious, see photo. Plus pork loin with baked potatoes and water. The Buccellato dessert, soaked in Vin Santo with mascarpone cream and a drizzle of chocolate, is delicious.
