The dishes at Locanda Buatino are so good, so true to Lucca's culinary tradition, and so beautifully served, that I returned for dinner several times during the same stay in Lucca. Near the city walls, you'll find this welcoming, spacious, well-furnished, and warm inn, with two young men ready to welcome and serve you, so knowledgeable and cheerful that you'll leave feeling satisfied. Satisfied with the food, certainly, but also with the satisfaction of seeing those who love doing their job with passion and kindness. Thank you!

A true inn that deserves to be among the best in Italy. Congratulations! Chestnut gnocchi, tordelli, chicken livers, francesina, cabbage, and desserts, all homemade, everything made just like home. Recommended for those who enjoy good food.

What can I say... when I'm in the area, I love going there. Authentic home cooking, excellent, and it brings back culinary memories. Generous portions and reasonable prices. The place is traditional, so it might seem dated or, if you look at it from a vintage perspective, it evokes the places of yesteryear.
