Excellent quality - quantity and price ratio

Sunday lunch in the Langhe. We opted for the tasting menu with 4 starters, 2 first courses, 2 second courses and a trio of desserts. The food is excellent and cooked very well. The only flaw was the service which left a bit of a bad taste in our mouth. Very cold and detached with that feeling of being annoying to be having lunch there. Sin.

Located in the center of the small town of Diano d'Alba. The place is divided into various rooms and is large, not exceptional in furnishings but certainly clean. You can opt for the tasting menu (29 euros: 4 starters + 2 first courses + 2 second courses with side dish + tasting of desserts - drinks not included) or the à la carte one. The dishes are traditional, without many frills (which I appreciate), tasty and in adequate portions you won't wake up hungry. The wines are all local at a reasonable price. The service is courteous but a little disorganized. serve on the plate directly from the pan. Maybe a bowl of 6 arrives at a table of 2 and vice versa.

Inn where you can still feel the atmosphere of the old trattorias, simple and traditional genuine dishes. Excellent for informal business lunches/dinners or meals with friends. Good value for money, an increasingly rare quality in the Langa!

andati apposta per mangiare tartufo da loro. purtroppo sono distanti da genova se no saremmo da loro tutte le settimane. ci sono stato con la mia compagna e il nostro gattino lord a cui hanno fatto accoglienza calorosa e mille feste. si mangia e si beve da dio!!!!! 5 stelle sono ancora poche. prezzo onesto e cibi sublimi, personale gentilissimo e accogliente,

Ancient tavern where you can appreciate genuine Piedmontese recipes and excellent truffles

La trattoria nei miei sogni finalmente si è’ materializzata a 6km da casa. Locale ordinato e, pulito, personale premuroso, attento, professionale, presente ma non invadente, tavoli ben distanziati ed apparecchiati. Il servizio non prevede impiattamento ma passano le cameriere ai tavoli con le pentole della cucina a servire direttamente nel piatto. Menu alla carta oppure degustazione e in più piatti del giorno. Abbiamo optato per il degustazione, un pelo eccessivo alla sera ma onestissimo nel prezzo (29 €) Tris di antipasti che comprende battuta di fassona veramente buona, vitello tonnato come quello che faceva cuocere mia nonna (e non cotto al punto rosa come il roast-beef per accontentare i turisti) con sopra una salsa tonnata da 10 e lode e una folata di pollo accompagnata da una salsa buona e gustosa. Peperone arrosto con salsa all’acciuga che, onestamente, non mi e’ parso al livello degli altri piatti. I primi piatti sono consistiti in Risotto al vino e tuma che definirei sublime, e tajarin (buoni i tajarin, buono il ragù) Per secondi hanno portato dei bocconcini di maiale al forno e verdure e poi polenta con uno spezzatino di manzo eccelso. A seguire tris di onesti dolci. Essendo l’unico a bere vino ho optato per lo sfuso (non hanno mezze bottiglie) che mi ha favorevolmente sorpreso. Complimenti!!
