Locanda Angelica - Le Due Palme In Monterosso almo

Very good restaurant with regional specialties. Despite the remote location, we were here twice during our vacation. The restaurant is definitely worth the trip.

I've been to this wonderful place they call an inn. In fact it is a mega ancient farmhouse with lots of greenery and many enchanting corners. Lots of greenery and a swimming pool. I had dinner with friends. Typical Sicilian food very good and well presented. The service was also excellent.

Locanda Angelica was the most welcome place to us in the countryside after weeks of travelling Sicily and crowds of tourists. Beautiful setting,green areas and luxurious pool to relax Our apartment was spacious,very clean,very well equipped kitchen and loved the stonework throughout the property. The highlight was the restaurant, so close by and again amazing stonework. Beautiful family and great home cooking. We did many day trips to Ragussa, Ortiga and a special place called Maszaremi on the coast. Drove from here one hour to catch the boat to Malta. Ten minutes from here in Guirantana there is a cute little patisserie for great coffee and crossinants. Called Le Petit cafe. You need a car to stay in this area.

The antipasti platter alone is worth the trip. Probably the best fried eggplant of my life. Amazing cheese with honey. Then amazing homemade pasta with tomatoes, olives, capers, chilis. Sounds so simple, but executed with perfection. The wild boar stew was incredibly delicate, buttery and with a gentle rosemary fragrance. Great coffee too, and lovely hosts to boot. Also, you can sleep here in super tasteful and comfortable rooms and enjoy the beautiful grounds.
