07/01/2025: When we came for lunch, every table in the multi-room restaurant was buzzing with happy diners. The waitstaff did an admirable job bringing dozens of orders hot from the kitchen and even though it did not look as if a table was available, the accommodating host found us a place in the warren of rooms. This is an old-style family-run trattoria, full of history and evidently beloved by locals. The menu is large and includes all the local specialties. Prices could not be lower but the quality is excellent. We loved the cavatieddi ccò sucu rì maiali and the generous bollito of veal. The wine selection offers inexpensive choices but the restaurant also serves some excellent Sicilian craft beers.
