Locanda al Convento In Venezia

I found Locanda al Convento simply by poking around on Google maps looking for something close to the Venice airport since we would be returning a rental car and flying out the next morning. I still can't believe how lucky I was to stumble on this place. Dario is a great host, friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The setting is peaceful and quiet. It was a night off for his restaurant, but Dario was more than helpful in suggesting some local dining options, and went so far as to make the dinner reservation for us. Dario must be a local favorite because the people at the restaurant knew who he is, and they treated us well, and the food was delicious. We like cats and there were at least three very friendly outdoor cats that made us welcome. We would definitely stay here again, and would try to schedule it for Wednesday - Sunday when his restaurant is open.

Simply perfect. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the dishes are of the highest quality. Both the fish-based first and second courses were delicious, but the cicchetti are also a must-try. In this already excellent setting, the knowledgeable yet friendly staff makes us want to return to try what we missed today!!! Excellent service, and the prices are also excellent for the quantity and quality.

The room was clean, with a comfortable bed. You have free parking. We booked it because of the reviews for the trattoria, but it was closed during our stay. It says breakfast is included, but at 7 in the morning there was nothing at all for breakfast — only coffee and orange juice. Also, do not expect to receive an answer to your emails; they are simply ignored by the staff who should respond to them. Overall, a quiet place and a nice-looking villa.

Trattoria Boschetti is one of those places that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. The atmosphere is authentic, simple, and welcoming, like the trattorias of old, where the kitchen was the beating heart and every dish told a story. Credit goes also to Dario, the owner and chef, who with passion and dedication creates authentic cuisine, crafted from select ingredients and traditional recipes. Here, "homemade" isn't just a slogan, but a reality: the chicken, for example, comes directly from their own farm and is cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The potatoes that accompany it are simply amazing: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a rich, authentic flavor, just like those we ate in the olden days. If you're looking for a place to savor authentic dishes in a family atmosphere, with the assurance of being welcomed like friends, Trattoria Boschetti is a must-see in Mestre.

This place has taken the cake and surpasses all the others in my ranking for quality and friendliness. Discovered by chance, perhaps recommended by friends, I wanted to try this trattoria on a July evening. It has outdoor seating, but it's also very comfortable inside. The girls who welcome you are very kind and friendly. The atmosphere is typical of authentic trattorias from the 60s and 80s, with cotton tablecloths and napkins, plates with logos. Everything is spotless and clean, and above all, quiet, making it pleasant to chat. What I appreciate most, however, are the flavors, everything is truly excellent: appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts are entirely homemade (and you can taste the difference). The wine list completes the experience. The icing on the cake is the coffee granita/grattachecca made in a 20th-century icebox, which is served at the end only to customers who deserve it 😀. Well done! I hope it always stays that way.
