Well, what can I say? They came in 15th in the world in a ranking on Instagram.
The place is surrounded by greenery, the counter is very large and well-stocked with bottles.
The staff is commendable.
The cocktails and wine cost us €20 each, but that's fair enough. My cocktail had hints of fresh porcini mushrooms and a gardener's cordial.
The aroma was like having tagliatelle with mushrooms under my nose, hahaha, but the taste was well-balanced and pleasant.
(A gem I've never seen in any cocktail bar.)
Halfway through my drink, a waitress came to the table with a chilled martini glass and poured the cocktail for me so it was still cold. Hats off.

Just perfect. Don’t hesitate, book!
We tried the five-course tasting menu and it was delightful. The starters were unique, balanced, and creative. We came with our child and were able to enjoy our tasting menu while our 4-year-old had what turned out to be a surprisingly sophisticated pasta cooked al dente and absolutely delicious. The main course did not disappoint and the dessert sealed the evening as a perfect dinner.
Our server Alex was attentive and helpful. The cocktails were also a hit.

On my first visit, I was told by security that I couldn’t enter because I was wearing shorts. However, when I returned on another day, I noticed many white men inside the bar wearing shorts without any issue. This inconsistency made me feel singled out, and as an Asian customer, the experience felt discriminatory. Perhaps management could revisit their entry policies and ensure security staff apply them consistently.
That said, Locale Firenze itself is excellent. The drinks are fabulous, the oysters were really good, and the bartenders were genuinely welcoming and professional. The interior design is also beautiful — stylish, comfortable, and very well done. It’s a place I would otherwise enjoy returning to.

This isn’t just a bar — it’s a moment, and the room knows it.
Walking into this place, you immediately sense something special is happening. The scale of the space is dramatic, especially in the evening—when I visited, the ceiling opened like a sunroof, transforming the room and setting the tone for the night.
The bar is the undeniable centerpiece and easily one of the coolest spots in Florence proper. The entire space feels elevated and intentional—high design, high energy—but without the stiffness that often comes with places trying too hard. Even though this is clearly the place to be, the servers are friendly, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming.
We didn’t order much food, but the cocktails were sensational. The dessert we did have, paired with a few carefully crafted drinks, showed real class and precision. This is a bar that takes its cocktail program seriously, and it shows in both creativity and execution.
The ambience is out of this world. Whether you’re planning a big night out with friends or an intimate date night at a high-end lounge, this place delivers on atmosphere, service, and style.
This is a place that understands atmosphere is the experience — and executes it effortlessly.

The atmosphere is simply incredible: a charming, elegant place, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, worth the visit alone. You feel like you've entered a timeless, intimate, and evocative space.
The prices are significantly higher than average, but they're in keeping with the setting: impeccable service, meticulous customer service, and a one-of-a-kind setting. You don't come here just to eat or drink, but to enjoy a complete experience.

I wanted to try it because it's on the list of the world's top 50 bars. Overall, I liked the atmosphere. The snacks served with the cocktails, like pickles and almonds, were nice. The staff were friendly. I tried two different cocktails and both were good. They cost 20 euros each. I would go again for the atmosphere, but I don't think they make cocktails that would make me say, "Wow, you absolutely have to go and try this."

Locale Firenze has an atmosphere and vibe that are truly unmatched — easily one of the most memorable spots in the city. The moment you step inside, especially down into the underground basement, you’re transported into the old-world charm of historic Firenze. It feels like entering a hidden chapter of the city’s past.
The cocktails were good and thoughtfully crafted, though I wouldn’t place them in the “Top 20 in the world” category. They’re enjoyable, but the real highlight of Locale is the overall experience — the ambience, the storytelling of the space, and the unique architectural setting.
If you’re looking for a place with exceptional atmosphere and a deep Florentine character, Locale Firenze is absolutely worth a visit.
