It's a small and a bit retro place but that's the beauty of it...Maria is an excellent hostess...the stuffed Roman white pizzas are too good...Maria's cuisine is simple but good...if you're in the center of Rome it's a great alternative to restaurants that will rip you off.

Lo Zozzone, just steps from Piazza Navona, is a welcoming and unique place. The stuffed white pizza and the thin Roman-style round pizzas are excellent, with a wide variety of flavors, as are the simple yet delicious first courses.
The owner, Maria, is friendly and always smiling, often accompanied by her dog, adding to the family atmosphere. The place, which almost resembles a cabin, is full of knick-knacks, very clean and well-kept.
Friendly staff. Recommended.

Thanks carissima Maria! Great Italian fresh food ingredients and great pastas and pizza. I have tried many times different dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner and extremely love their real Italian taste.

A typical Roman restaurant, very colorful and inviting. The owner is a character who makes you understand what it means to be Roman. The dishes are generous and very tasty. Excellent Roman pizza. The only drawback is the waiters, who, despite being very kind, are foreigners and don't understand Italian, so they can sometimes be a bit inattentive.

A very pleasant, atmospheric restaurant with delicious food, both pizza and pasta. They also serve excellent wine. I enjoyed returning there many times during my stay.

As my semester abroad in Rome comes to an end, Lo Zozzone stands out as my favorite restaurant in the city. Since my campus lacked cooking facilities, I spent most weekends exploring Rome’s incredible food scene, trying a new spot every day. Yet, no matter where I went, I always found myself returning to Lo Zozzone several times a week. The food is delicious, the staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere captures the warmth and charm of Rome. If you’re visiting the city, this is a place you simply can’t miss.
