I can say with conviction and knowledge, having known it for years, that there is no better pan pizza within a kilometer radius! And the fried calzoncelli are addictive, as is the spit-roasted chicken. A varied selection of food. Everything is delicious, the prices are more than fair, and the staff is friendly and smiling.

Discovered by chance one evening during our stay, the pizzas are very good, as is everything else. The staff is very friendly and understanding, even with the language barrier. During our 4 days in Rome, we went there 3 times in the evening to buy food. I highly recommend it.

A "push the tray" type restaurant, with fresh and good food at unbeatable prices, very friendly staff. There are a few tables in the basement where you can eat, canteen atmosphere. Very good value for money.

When I think of Lo Sfizio 63, I imagine a mix between a traditional neighborhood rotisserie and a casual pizzeria, where you can feel the energy of Rome and the authenticity of simple yet well-made food. I come here especially when I want to eat well without spending too much, and that's evident from the fact that many customers rate it around 4.4 stars on Google, with hundreds of positive reviews.
The first thing I notice every time is the variety of the menu: pizzas (like the classic Margherita or slightly more creative versions), fried foods, spit-roasted chicken, and even diner dishes like cannelloni or stuffed tomatoes. There's truly a bit of everything, and this abundance makes it perfect for both a quick after-work dinner and a casual lunch.
My favorite dish? The spit-roasted chicken with potatoes: juicy, beautifully browned, with that aroma that captivates you as soon as you walk in. Many other reviewers cite it as one of the restaurant's must-trys. The pizza is also a local classic: with a light dough and flavorful ingredients, I've always been satisfied.
Another strong point, in my opinion, is the staff: friendly and helpful, ready to advise you or suggest the daily special. This greatly contributes to the "easy-going" atmosphere here, where you don't feel like a mere customer but almost like a returning friend.
That said, not everything is perfect. Sometimes, especially during peak hours, there can be a bit of a line or wait, and there isn't a lot of seating inside—many customers prefer takeout for this very reason. Additionally, a few reviews point out that some "not-so-great" dishes occasionally appear, but overall, most experiences are positive.
In conclusion, Lo Sfizio 63 remains a pleasant and reliable stop in the Monteverde neighborhood for me: perfect for those who want simple, flavorful, and reasonably priced Roman food, without frills but with plenty of flavor and the warmth of a "neighborhood osteria."
