The steak is wonderful, the salad and lasagna are wonderful, we remember it so much that today, on the way back from France to Italy, I decided to go and have our meal again and find its name from the photographs. Lo Scudo is one of my favorites in all of Florence! The location is lovely right by the Duomo, the servers are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is fantastic. They have the best pappardelle al cinghiale in the whole city - and I have tasted many! Their bistecca alla fiorentina with a side of roasted potatoes will have you coming back for more. You will not be disappointed!

First time at the Scudo as tourists.
Three of us had lunch, 2 adults and a little girl.
We got pizza for the little girl who devoured it, two appetizers with bruschetta, a slice of scottona and a 1.2 kg Fiorentina. with a side dish of sautéed porcini mushrooms.
All very good especially the tasty meat cooked to perfection.
Efficient and kind service.
The prices are fair for the quality offered and the location in the center of Florence.

Pochi giorni a Firenze e desiderio di gustare una buona fiorentina. Siamo stati fortunatissimi in questa trattoria gestina da toscani doc.
Migliore fiorentina a mia memoria, cottura perfetta,tenera e gustosa. accompagnata da spinaci e patatine. Si conclude con vin santo e cantucci per seguire la tradizione. Prezzo equo. E infine piacevole l'accoglienza di Toni con cui abbiamo parlato di cibo, di Firenze e dei nostri bassotti.
Bravi! Prossima volta a Firenze ci si torna.

Cenamos dos veces en Lo Scudo en nuestro viaje más reciente a Florencia. Una vez para el almuerzo, y otra vez para la cena más tarde en la semana. La comida y el servicio eran excelentes, y sin duda recomendaría para cualquiera que busque comer en la zona Centro Storico de Florencia.
