A historic Roman trattoria that never disappoints. The first courses are excellent, although I'm not a fan of grilled guanciale, but that's just a personal preference. The staff are helpful and friendly.

I had lunch today with a friend. I'm celiac. I had the gluten-free cacio e pepe! I'd say it was epic! Pasta was al dente (which, believe me, is incredibly complicated to make gluten-free al dente) and it was really good! The prices were very fair! It's definitely worth it!

It was a culinary experience worthy of traditional Roman cuisine. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they could recommend dishes without having to think about selling them. The restaurant sells everything itself, much like an ancient Roman tavern, complete with photos of famous guests. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, excellent trattoria with a good selection of dishes. The portions are generous and NOT lacking in personality. The chef 🧑‍🍳 is excellent and knows his stuff. The owner was in the dining room, very kind, humble, and friendly. I must say, I love cooking and cleanliness, I found this place very well-kept. My boyfriend and I ordered several dishes and they were all very satisfying. I recommend the amatriciana and the abbacchio to everyone 🤤. Thanks to all the staff at Scopettaro. TOP 🔝 Dia.

Abbiamo cenato in questa osteria che offre piatti tipici romani. Di primo abbiamo preso carbonara, amatriciana, carciofi e guanciale e al sugo di coda, tutte buone ma con pasta oltre cottura. Di secondo pajata, abbacchio alla cacciatora, trippa e coratella, questi tutti buoni di maggior livello rispetto alla pasta. Vignarola buona, carciofo alla romana bocciato invece, senza sapore.

Bella accoglienza con possibilità di mangiare all'aperto oppure fuori. Porzioni abbondanti personale gentile e premuroso in particolare Matteo ci ha aiutato nella scelta dei piatti con simpatia. Ritorneremo sicuramente...

09/07/2025: The pizza was great! Crust was amazing. We had the burrata margherita (red sauce) and the yellow spice salami (yellow sauce). The yellow wasn’t spicy at all. They take no reservations and don’t do pizza to go, so be ready to wait in line. We waited 45 minutes at around 7:45pm. It is super small inside and it kinda felt rushed for us to eat and get others in, since the line gets long and there’s not much seating inside. With all of this, we would go again and enjoyed the food!
