I discovered this Roman gem while walking along the riverbank in a less touristy area. While the service isn't the best, given that they hardly cater to tourists, the food is exceptional—authentic Roman flavor with a menu offering a variety of options. The best caccio e pepe I've ever had. Their wine list is highly recommended.

Strolling through the Testaccio neighborhood, we stopped here for a quick lunch. Given the heat, we chose a table outside on the sidewalk. The young man who greeted us was immediately kind, helpful, and very friendly: water and a menu arrived promptly. For my appetizer, I had the coccio di coratella (cod offal), which was good, although the liver was a bit too strong for my taste. The amatriciana, however, proved to be the real highlight: excellent, plentiful, and absolutely worth trying! We finished with a tiramisu, simple but delicious. The bill is slightly above average, partly due to the location, but if you're in the area and crave good pasta, it's definitely worth a stop.

We booked by phone, we were welcomed with great kindness and availability, the dishes were wonderful both to look at and to eat, I highly recommend them.

Consigliato da esperto di cui mi fido molto. Gentilissimi fin dalla prenotazione e per tutto il servizio, ho preso cacio e pepe, coda alla vaccinara ( prima volta) e carciofo e ho apprezzato tutto. Cacio e pepe da super scarpetta, coda piatto più difficile ma molto apprezzato. Mi è piaciuto anche il rosso e il clima è il lungo Tevere aiutava a rilassarsi e faceva davvero tanto atmosfera....bene! Sul prezzo forse mi aspettavo qualcosa di meno ma non ho esperienza di altri locali in zona e per quella cifra ci tornerei senza problemi

09/12/2025: We stopped for happy hour because I needed a bathroom. Turns out it was one of best happy hours! They have a 10 euro spritz with snacks. The snacks are on point. The one salami is spicy spicy 😋 it was a lot of food for 10 euros! Would definitely stop here again even though I would normally walk on by this area. Inside seating has a large TV with sports. A rare bargain in the tourist center!
30/11/2025: Love it! I keep coming back for a couple of years when in Rome. The front door staff is top tier ❤️
