We were in Mantua a week ago (a truly beautiful city) and discovered this place where everything is top-notch, from the food to the staff. It's a place where you not only eat well but also feel at ease. A special mention goes to Tosca, who is both professional and friendly. Highly recommended, excellent value for money.

Lo Scalco is one of those magical places in Italy where food, wine, and service come together in perfect harmony. Vanni Righi is a patron with meticulous attention to detail, even for those, like me, visiting his establishment for the first time. The dishes are marvelous, the "Casa" menu is exceptionally high-quality (and value-for-money) in its indulgence and abundance, and I drank absolutely excellent wines. You leave wanting to return as soon as possible, and if Mantua is worth the trip for its breathtaking artistic beauty, so is this Osteria Contemporanea, which lives up to both its name and its adjective (which isn't always the case...).

A very refined atmosphere with an open kitchen and a menu that ranges from classic to sophisticated. I opted for the seafood tasting menu, which was truly excellent, with sublime quality and very friendly and attentive service.
The quality/price ratio was right.
