Reported by Michelin, a nice discovery in Mantua. Traditional dishes but with a look beyond the hedge. The cured meats served were exceptional. Generous and tasty pumpkin tortelli. I expected something more from the stuffed squid but the raw materials were excellent.
The service was very courteous and informal.
The place is nice but small. Better to book. Prices are adequate.

Attracted by the reviews we chose this place for our lunch. The atmosphere immediately enveloped us, relaxing and welcoming.
The menu is well divided between tasting and "a la carte". Excellent selection of wines, local and otherwise, for all budgets.
The food is elaborately presented and of excellent quality, with traditional recipes. The service is on par with the food, courteous and at the right pace, leaving a little space between courses to catch your breath and enjoy the dishes, dedicating the right amount of time to them. They don't rush as sometimes happens in restaurants when they bring the courses all together.
Ecological mention of merit for the filtered water in the carafe.
The price is well calibrated with the superior quality found. Advised.

Abbiamo pranzato sabato 14 visto che eravamo appena arrivati e allogiavamo in un hotel a poca distanza.. ci hanno fatto accomodare anche senza prenotare. Il locale è piccolo ma carino..certo non per farci un pranzo o una cena romantica..ma devo dire che siamo stati accolti bene e abbiamo assaggiato il calamaro mbuttunato e i toast di pesce ( ricciola?)..più come antipasto un baccalà tiramisù molto buono. Il proprietario molto cortese ci ha consigliato anche un buon vino bianco locale..prezzo giusto..ve lo consiglio per un pranzo o cena se volete mangiare bene ..

Siamo stati in questo ristorante molto carino un sabato di novembre. Abbiamo preso un tagliere con tipicità locali e due primi sempre del territorio: angolino e tortelli alla zucca e amaretto. È stato tutto all' altezza. Anche il pane (focaccia) accompagnava molto bene il tagliere che oltre ai salumi comprendeva anche la mostarda e la polenta. Da tornarci sicuramente.

We went to this place on the recommendation of a friend who had spoken very highly of it. The cuisine offers reinterpretations of traditional Mantuan dishes; it is high level and high quality cuisine, everything was delicious. I was positively struck by the care and attention of the staff towards customers. Super recommended!
