A great place to spend a day or weekend in the snow. The dining room could use a little more organization, especially with regards to seating, but overall, everything was good and the food was excellent.

Visited during a snowshoe hike 🥾 organized by the Majellando group, they offered, included in the price, a drink 🥤 and polenta with sauce and sausage 🫕. The polenta with sausage was hearty and flavorful, perhaps a little more sauce would have been nice, and the service was friendly.
Special mention goes to Omar for his speed and skill in making a delicious coffee 😉☕️.
Unlike the ground floor, the second floor is smaller and less bright. 🆗️

It's been a while since I've been to these ski slopes. Over time, they've greatly improved the length and quality of the runs, even though we've stuck to the ski lifts. However, given the fact that we're around 2,200 meters above sea level and facing north, it's a location with a high probability of finding good skiable snow. The only downside is that no one has installed at least one webcam so you can remotely monitor the actual conditions. Another thing to know is that they're strict about enforcing the helmet requirement. A weekday afternoon pass costs 19 euros.

A pleasant and enjoyable place, good for children, with gentle slopes. Ample parking along the road. Refreshments are crowded and chaotic on weekends.

What a wonderful spot! Tell me though why you only have two real runs open. Good resturant and great equipment rentals! But two runs? We still enjoyed our time there, but plan on two hours being enough time to ski unless they open up more lifts/runs.

Bah...!!! This year, the missing innovation was food and drink service with only plastic and paper, maintaining the same prices as glass and pottery...even when the place was almost empty!!! Disappointment and general discontent!!

It is the most southern point in Italy with snow in Winter. 3 ski lifts and facilities to rent. But check weather conditions before you decide to go, of course. Of course you can do different things in Abruzzo. For us living in Puglia, it is a doable trip for a few days of ski.

A very beautiful place, but on a sunny Sunday during school holidays, it's not highly recommended... (it's better to go during the week to fully enjoy it) because of people who park anywhere and anywhere, blocking traffic in both directions and making it impossible for cars to pass. In case of emergency, there's no way for an ambulance to get through. 😡😡

Review – Pescara Refuge, Maiella
We came from Parma specifically to visit the Mamma Rosa area and reach the Pescara Refuge on the Maiella, but unfortunately the experience was terrible in many ways.
The access road is narrow and completely unmanaged: cars were parked on both sides of the road, creating a complete gridlock. As you can see in the photo, it was impossible to get on or off, and many people were forced to walk. The Carabinieri had to intervene to resolve the situation. A complete lack of organization.
We had booked a snowshoe hike and were planning to have lunch at the refuge, but the line at the refreshment point was interminable and didn't move. Furthermore, we were told that everything would close at 4:00 PM, so we couldn't eat anything and were left with empty stomachs after a long journey.
We managed to get some coffee and crisps in the afternoon. Unfortunately, tourist reception and hospitality are zero. It's a shame, because the place is truly beautiful and deserves much more careful organization. Once again, a region with great potential is not being promoted as it should be.
