L'iska In Catania

They have the best cotoletta palermitana (26FEB25) that I have tasted since I have lived in Sicily. That might change in the future, but to date, that is my opinion. The breading they use has so much flavor. It is like every bite is a new bite. Absolutely delicious. I have to give the 5 stars because I have now been "WOW'd" not once, but both times I have eaten here. The service is okay. They get you what you want, and in a reasonable time. I just feel like the interaction is lacking. Considering. My Italian is not good, I understand. The atmosphere here is nice. I enjoy people watching, and this is a good location to do it. They either have music playing or the establishment across the street does. I enjoy it. If you are with company and want to talk, then this atmosphere may not be for you. Considering this is my personal review about my experience, I like it, so no problems here. I didn't use the bathroom, so I can't comment on the cleanliness of the wash closets.

We had pizza alla norma and mix of fried fish. The pizza was good. The fried fish was not fresh (the place is next to the fish market, so we expected more) and it was fried in a cheap batter and probably old oil, it had smell and taste as a cheap fried food. The sauces provided with the fish were some super cheap mayonnaise and sweet-sour sauce.. like those that are packed with frozen spring rolls and leave you a bad aftertaste. The staff were friendly and nice.

Sicuramente un ottimo posto dove poter gustare ottimo cibo nel cuore di Catania, tutto lo staff è professionale e sa fare proprio lavoro. Bravissimo il Ragazzo all’entrata che ci ha spiegato le portate.

Ristorante turistico, nella media abbiamo mangiato una norma, un polipo con pop corn, e un raviolo. I sapori niente male, i prezzi un po' altini però tutto sommato per mangiare al centro di Catania può andare. Bagni sporchissimi, non mi ha entusiasmato, se torno a Catania provo altro.
