Lido Paradise Beach In Capo d'orlando

01/08/2024: After several holidays in Taormina, we returned again this year. One of the highlights of our visit was discovering this beautiful wine bar, just few steps down from Corso Umberto. Talk about ‘far from the madding crowd’, this little haven does ‘aperitivo’ on another level. Always warmly greeted, quickly seated and promptly attended, the staff were fantastic, all of them. Great music, great nibbles and awesome drinks (mainly Aperol Spritz and Bloody Mary). You really made a most pleasant difference to our stay this time, and rest assured, we will definitely be back….thank you!

22/06/2024: Lovely quiet lounge bar very close to Corso Umberto. Very nice cocktails and ambiance. The only thing was they kept seats ‘reserved’ for I’m not sure who! Twice we asked could we sit at a certain place and they firmly said no and sent to us to another less comfortable seat. A few minutes later another couple walked in and they asked could they sit there and they said ok (they definitely hadn’t reserved it either!) On our fourth night there (we went there every night for an after dinner cocktail) , we again asked could we sit at a sofa ( there were 3 available) and again they said no they were reserved! We ended up leaving which was disappointing as it was our last night and we were looking forward to having one last drink there. A strange system and disappointing customer service. If it wasn’t for that, we would recommend but we probably wouldn’t go back now because of that.
