I often go to the Li Jalantuùmene restaurant, the owner Gegé is a fellow villager of mine, and every time I find confirmation of the quality and passion he puts into his work. The quality of the food and dishes is simply very high. Every dish I tasted was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, fully reflecting the traditions of Apulian cuisine. From starters to desserts, everything was delicious and well presented. I recommend Li Jalantuùmene to anyone who wants to try authentic, high-quality Apulian cuisine in a refined setting and with excellent service.

Given that I am from Naples and that, after a visit to San Giovanni Rotondo, as a lover of good food I moved to Gege's restaurant located in Monte Sant'Angelo. Starting from the restaurant which is truly characteristic, we ate outside in the shade of a tree which also allowed us to enjoy the view of the town which is truly characteristic. I continue with the welcome from chef Gege who immediately knew how to put us at ease, thus creating a cordial but at the same time elegant atmosphere. Chef Gege has satisfied every taste request, the dishes are a reference to territoriality in their best version, but if even a "simple" orecchiette with tomato can, with every bite, ignite different scents and make you feel every single ingredient used... in a distinct way, then it is not a "simple dish of orecchiette" but rather a taste experience made possible only thanks to the skill of the chef. We tried all three of the proposed starters, 3 different first courses, including a pasta and potatoes made to perfection (said by a Neapolitan) and personally a veal cooked at a low temperature that melted in the mouth. Each one told its own story, and each one savored the quality of the ingredients used, the choice of a not extensive menu is reflected in the philosophy of "little but good"... and that's exactly how it was. Compliments to the chef and his wife, who gave us a pleasant day surrounded by excellent food.

Suggestive place in the beating heart of Monte Sant Angelo. Chef and wife excellent hosts, they always put us at ease throughout the evening. Cellar equipped to challenge the most demanding. The dishes are the story of the Gargano culinary heritage, right down to the desserts. An experience to do over and over again if you love the concept of sitting at the table, eating well and being pampered.
