Tried the ribs, went back a few days later, and had the ribs again. If I went again, guess what I'd have. They are fantastic. To be fair all the food looked beautiful, but did I mention how good the ribs are.

🌟 Tao's Google Restaurant Reviews 🌟 We as a group of 4 saw many great reviews for this place and decided to try it out. We got the squid ink pasta, seafood pasta, hamburger pizza, burger, and fondue. The fondue with pistachio was pretty good with a raclette, a sharper more fragrant cheese, very filling, and we ordered the small size which was 20 euros and enough for the 4 of us. Squid ink pasta was nice and al dente, though flavour profile was a bit on the milder side. The overall great though. Our server was quite nice and you're on the main restaurant street where it's hustling and bustling, great way to experience Catania. Overall, it's not a tourist trap, food is good, and presentation and experience are overall very good. 🍲Food: 4 🧑‍🍳Service: 5 🍴Atmosphere: 5 FINAL SCORE 4/5

The restaurant is located in the liveliest street in Catania. We chose this one among many others and I think we couldn't have made a better choice. Excellent food, generous portions (at least compared to those in Florence), a very refined environment and super helpful staff. The evening was particularly pleasant due to the presence of the head waiter who, knowing that it was our first visit to Catania, recommended many places outside the guide to visit, telling us anecdotes and explanations of Catania.

We Had parmigiana d’estate for starter, norma a modo mio and sorentina di mare. Everything was delicious :)

Ottimo ristorante dove poter assaggiare piatti culinari diversi dal consueto. Location accogliente, personale gentile e disponibile. È stata una vera sorpresa provare la tipica fonduta e non solo. Buona la carta dei vini, dove si può scegliere il vino che si desidera. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente, grazie al clima accogliente che abbiamo trovato.

Il locale è arredato con gusto ed il personale è rapido e cortese. Le pietanze sono preparate con ingredienti di qualità e si fanno apprezzare. Il costo rientra nella media. Un locale da suggerire.

12/07/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at Cantine Nicosia and can say without hesitation that it was an excellent experience in every way. We ate wonderfully: every dish was meticulously crafted, with fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and impeccable presentation. The cuisine showcases local specialties to perfection, accompanied by a wine selection truly worth discovering. Special thanks go to our waiter, Gino, who made the evening even more enjoyable. He was kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, offering expert advice and always with a smile. He carefully guided us through our dish and wine selections, demonstrating a professionalism that truly makes the difference. Concluding the dinner with Zibibbo wine and sesame biscuits was a dream! When service and quality come together like this, the experience becomes more than just a dinner: it becomes a memory to take home with you. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back.

21/06/2025: Family-run trattoria-type restaurant with typical local dishes. Very good service and genuine Sicilian food. I recommend the fresh fish of the day and a side dish of mixed seasonal vegetables. Quality/price rating: excellent
