Levante In Venezia

Very good restaurant on the banks of a canal. We were able to find a table there without a reservation for lunch. Everything was very good, and the seafood was particularly fresh and well-prepared! The olive oil served at the table is wonderful.

Delicious menu with outdoor canal seating! We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. Service was very friendly and attentive. The duck ragu was amazing!

We shared a lovely lunch here on our final day in Venice. Both pasta dishes we had were delicate and delicious. The service was great and the setting along the canal is idyllic.

To be honest, the food wasn’t that great which adds to my general irritation at this restaurant. The pasta was just ok. I’m shocked by the fantastic reviews, the pasta was kinda soggy and there wasn’t much flavor (and I got the duck ragu pasta - duck always has tons of flavor so I’m very surprised). Additionally, they will ignore you when you ask for tap water. Got bottled water (so wasteful) they then charged me 4.50 for. I get it’s customary, but it’s not even included in the cover (additional 3.50 for bread I’ll never eat because I can’t, I can only hope they give it to someone so it isn’t wasted). The total cost of these unnecessary additions is double for most restaurants in Italy I’ve been to, and added a full 30% to my bill. Maybe I’ve been lucky, but this is the first time I’ve been flat out ignored on my water request in years of visiting Italy. It just seems wild and wasteful when the fantastic tap water is a selling point of tourism in Italy, but I guess that’s a wider conversation to be had. All in all, if this is what I am to expect in Venice compared to the rest of Italy, I think I’ll just go to the grocery store.

A great find in the heart of Cannaregio! Osteria Levante offers high-quality dishes, meticulously prepared with the freshest ingredients. We spent around €50 each, including wine, an appetizer, a first course, and dessert—an absolutely fair price for the quality and experience. The service was impeccable: the staff were kind, attentive, and very welcoming. The atmosphere is quiet, with pleasant background music creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a dinner with friends or as a couple. A place where you can sense the passion for cooking and the attention to detail. Recommended.

A true experience, made up of good food (creamed cod on an artichoke base was a delicacy), an excellent selection of wines, and kindness and suggestions from the staff, who we also relied on.

We had our last meal in Italy here and it was a perfect way to end our 10 days in Italy. The food was excellent and Jonathan made our meal extra special. The pasta dish we had was had, in cherry tomato sauce with burrata, was one of my favorites for the entire trip. We each chose a different grilled fish and they were both delicious. We were going to pass on dessert and get it elsewhere, but we saw the lemon custard and couldn't walk away. No regrets. We sat outside and watch the sun set. It really couldn't have been any more perfect.

What a wonderful experience, the food was amazing. The freshest seafood. We had the raw seafood appetizer and it was really special. Followed by the Branzino and the Lobster Pasta. All was cooked to perfection. The service was top level, our waiter suggested a perfect wine pairing. We were so happy. I loved this restaurant, it was one of the best meals we had in Italy. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food, service and ambience were fantastic.
