Looked good walking by. Went to go at 18:00 as listed on Google, but a handwritten sign changed the hours to 18:30. Maybe next time.

Very good dumplings. Crispy and soft at the same time. Excellent service, very kind and attentive staff. Absolutely accessible prices considering that we are in Florence. If you pass by Viale Guidoni, stop.

Exceptional schiacciata! Easy to get to, it's located on Viale Guidoni on the main road, coming from the highway and heading toward the Palace of Justice. Parking isn't always easy, but trust me, it's worth it. The stuffed schiacciata are delicious and varied, but what makes them exceptional is the dough. If I may offer a tip, make sure it's served warm with a drizzle of olive oil. You can either order by phone and pick it up, or eat in. At the time of writing, meal vouchers are not accepted.

Ristorante Il Focolare

31/07/2025: Not a bad place for a small town in Tuscany. The restaurant is spacious and quite large - we were there at lunchtime. The place specializes in steaks: I ordered a fillet (usually I ask for medium rare), but this time the meat was slightly underdone. The salads on the menu are quite simple - mostly with arugula. But the penne with ricotta and spinach was a pleasant surprise, a very large portion. There are tables inside the restaurant and also in the courtyard in the garden (the back part of the courtyard) Overall, the food is fresh, tasty and not overly pretentious. The staff is friendly and polite.
17/07/2025: A traditional Italian restaurant with excellent food and wine. The service was very friendly and the prices were absolutely fair. We'd be happy to come back when we're in the area.
