A quaint, rustic restaurant with round brick vaults. Traditional Piedmontese dishes are homemade. This is an old trattoria, now long gone.

We ended up there by chance after a visit to the castle of Agliè. The environment is quite characteristic, the menu is rustic but also quite limited and the service is normal. Overall it's okay

12/10/2025: Fantastic place, they took into consideration the fact that I am celiac and they prepared a top dish for me.
11/10/2025: When I was in college, I used to have breakfast there; today, it's a regular spot for aperitifs if, like tonight, I go to the movies downtown. A generous and varied buffet, and welcoming staff.

Scudo di Francia

02/09/2025: After visiting Aglie's Castle, we had lunch at Scudo di Francia. The atmosphere was beautiful, and we enjoyed excellent food accompanied by excellent wine. The flavor pairings were much appreciated. Impeccable service. The absolutely reasonable price was noteworthy. What a surprise to discover the Escoffier disciple plaque! We had a wonderful day.
21/08/2025: Passing through Agliè to visit the castle, we strolled through the village and discovered this lovely trattoria. Excellent food and a warm welcome. A mix of cured meats and cheeses, excellent agnolotti with cheese and hazelnut fondue. Prices were reasonable. I recommend it to anyone passing through!
