Durante una breve vacanza a Tropea, casualmente siamo passati davanti al locale mentre eravamo alla ricerca di un locale per la sera . Buona scelta perché i prodotti erano freschi e ben cucinati , personale gentile e rapporto qualità/ prezzo buono considerato che siamo nel centro storico. Sicuramente da ritornarci.

We had a really great dinner at Le Volpi e l’Uva. For Tropea, it has average prices (compared to the rest of Italy it is a bit expensive though). We had the red onion pasta and clam pasta and we loved both but we would definitely recommend the red onion pasta. The portion sizes were great. The service was friendly and the restaurant is down a quiet street. It’s a lovey casual and cosy restaurant.

A lovely little shop, not cheap, but still reasonably priced. The homemade pasta was delicious and the service was very friendly.

I share my experience of this evening at dinner with my son at the restaurant Le Volpi e L'uva in the wonderful setting of the village of Tropea. Welcomed by kind and helpful staff we tasted authentic and fresh dishes. I highly recommend and a greeting to the staff.

Urig gemütliches Lokal mitten im Zentrum mit gedecktem Sitzbereich draussen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Serviert werden einfache klassische kalabresische Gerichte mit Betonung auf Fisch und Meeresfrüchten. Alles (auch die Pasta) kommt selbstgemacht und frisch auf den Tisch. Die Pasta mit Nduja, die gegrillten Tintenfische und der Wolfsbarsch waren schlichtweg perfekt zubereitet ! In Anbetracht der moderaten Preise eine echte Entdeckung, wir waren gleich zweimal hier und kommen sicher wieder.

I found this restaurant by chance while walking around. Very good cuisine! and a more than charming waiter (I find it a shame that I can't bring him back to France haha). I ate very well!

Ristorante Tropea Vecchia

22/06/2025: Great lunch! Mixed seafood appetizer: you immediately feel on vacation! The staff is kind and friendly, you really feel welcome. Thank you! We will be back very gladly!
20/06/2025: Among many restaurants, this is an absolute gem. Although it is not very visible, the enjoyment of the food and the place where the restaurant is located will bring tears to your eyes. We had pasta fileja with seafood, where the seafood was absolutely fresh, the pasta homemade and the taste unbeatable. I do not like tomatoes and the waiter himself offered to make me a version without tomatoes!! The second dish we had beef steak from local farming. We have not tasted such an excellent taste of beef for a long time. Then the owner Roberto came and answered all our questions about the food, the origin of the meat with grace. Each of the waiters knows what to do and they serve a great performance, especially señor Anys and señor with glasses Claudio. And dessert? We have no words. We will gladly return to this place whenever we are nearby. Definitely worth a visit. Once again, many thanks!
