In Cortona, finding a place to have dinner on a Friday in August without having booked and also looking for a place not for hit-and-run tourists is not exactly easy. We then asked a local guy who suggested this restaurant to us. A beautiful surprise. A little out of the way, frequented by locals (a very important element for me), young and wonderful staff, really excellent food. We ate panzanella and guinea fowl stuffed with olives. There isn't much space outside (however the restaurant overlooks a narrow street in the historic centre), inside there is air conditioning and a very hospitable environment.

Everything was exaggeratedly good and the waiters were very sweet and attentive! Unfortunately only a little hot inside, but otherwise an experience to be absolutely repeated!

We ate for lunch in this restaurant and everything was really special from the starter to the dessert, everything was excellent, fast and precise service, a very nice and charming place, really good, if I have the opportunity I will definitely return.

Great flavors and very good service. Personally, I consider liver for appetizers to be the best dish. Delicious. Pasta and risotto are also good. For the main course, I highly recommend the duck breast. Delicious. Less mutton.
Good house wine and others from the menu. Delicious desserts. Including very good tiramisu.

Located in a charming alley of one of the main streets of Cortona, in a quiet and pleasant atmosphere.
The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Optimal.
Tuscan cuisine dishes, with quality products and well presented. Honest prices. Great lunch and great experience.

Giusto che sia al primo posto tra i ristoranti di Cortona: cibo ottimo (noi abbiamo preso pappa al pomodoro e pecorini come antipasto, faraona e risotto al Chianti come piatto principale, tortino al cioccolato con cuore morbido e panna cotta al pistacchio come dessert), perfetto, senza alcuna pecca, quindi chi cucina sa quello che fa. Il servizio in sala, dalla prenotazione al conto, è uno dei migliori che mi sia mai capitato, difficilmente in Italia si trova una simile attenzione al cliente ( due dipendenti così non dovete tenerveli stretti, di più!).
Un unico appunto: il vino che abbiamo scelto ( Pane della della Fattoria Cantagallo) è stata un’ottima scelta, tanto che lo abbiamo cercato per comprarlo…e scoprire che il ricarico era superiore del 100% ( da 14,50 a 30€) non è stato piacevole…già il 100% è troppo ( per quanto mi sia capitato anche un ristorante in cui ricaricavano il 150%…), ma così non è molto corretto.

Great experience, the service was amazing and the food was very good. Felt like the pasta was a bit over-sauced (wasn’t a fan of the saffron one), but the quail and tomato ravioli were good. Loved the chocolate soufflé (glorified molten lava cake). Overall was most impressed by the small setting and service
