Le Lune is the restaurant owned by two Tuscan farms, housed inside a nursery in the San Domenico area. Eating among the plants has its charm, and the atmosphere is certainly the place's strong point.
The menu is locally sourced and constantly changes with the seasons, so discussing individual dishes makes little sense. Overall, the cuisine is simple and good, but the portions are small. An artichoke for €10 was actually a baby artichoke. The cabbage was described on the menu as "cabbage and lemon puree," which sounded good, but on the plate there was a thin, almost decorative strip. The salad, on the other hand, was good and fresh. The dessert was delicious.
The problem is that the prices don't reflect the simplicity of the dishes. If the products come directly from the farm, you'd expect this to be reflected in the bill, but no.
The service was fast, perhaps too fast; The place was packed, but I would have expected something warmer, especially since the waitresses were dressed in homely attire and the atmosphere was relaxed. A little more consistency wouldn't hurt.
Unfortunately, we were near some noisy children, but there's not much you can do about that.
The outdoor garden with its plants and flowers is very beautiful; worth a stroll before or after lunch.
In short: it's a good experience, but not as good value. If you're looking for a unique place for a different lunch in Florence, it might be worth a visit; if you're expecting generous portions or prices in line with the simplicity of the cuisine, you might be disappointed.

A truly splendid location, meticulously maintained and capable of creating a welcoming atmosphere in every season. The cuisine is excellent, with carefully prepared dishes and quality ingredients. The staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful, while the owners stand out for their meticulous attention to detail and the passion that shines through in every aspect of their service.
All this is accompanied by a selection of excellent wines, perfectly paired with the menu.
It's a restaurant I frequent and have enjoyed both in winter and summer: each time, it proves to be a pleasant experience that always lives up to expectations!

Best restaurant in Florence, where ingredients and the search for contrasts, cooking techniques, and surprising plating come together. Excellent wine cellar. The location is delightful: inside a greenhouse you are surrounded by plants and flowers, all enhanced by sublime décor and meticulous attention to detail.
For me, Le Lune is the best restaurant in Florence, far removed from the usual, limited tourist offerings, where Tuscan cuisine has now been standardized into the same "four" dishes. Here, Tuscan cuisine takes shape in a surprising way, working with top-quality ingredients and restoring true value to the local culinary tradition.

The two of us had dinner at this delightful restaurant we'd heard so much about, and it was a wonderful experience! When I booked, I mentioned that I was celiac, and they reassured me that about 70% of the menu is naturally gluten-free, but they also pointed out that since they only have one kitchen, there could be cross-contamination. The woman who served us was kind and smiling, explaining all the dishes to us and letting me know what I could eat. Obviously, the homemade pasta wasn't available gluten-free, but almost everything else was available by removing the bread or crumble. They also have gluten-free bread on the side (not the best, but still appreciated thanks to their delicious olive oil!)
We had two delicious appetizers, two first courses (the one with wild boar sauce had homemade pasta with gluten, and the cream soup was divine!), and two simply incredible desserts, especially the one with white chocolate!
The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, with plants everywhere and a lovely atmosphere. Next time, we'll try to book a lunch with a view of Florence!

A unique and meticulously maintained location, with impeccable service, attentive but never intrusive.
The magic comes from the kitchen: balanced dishes, never banal, top-quality ingredients, high-level technique, and breathtaking flavor combinations.
Well done, everyone!
