Classic and central restaurant. The room is very well decorated, with typical decoration of the city and a good presentation. Very courteous, polite and friendly staff service. We ordered the Margherita and 4 Fromaggi Pizzas and the flavor was good even though they were very thin crust. They needed a little more ingredients.

We came across Le Grotte purely by chance. Thankfully, we decided to stop for dinner. The carbonara was one of the best I have ever tasted and the Dolcezza al Pistachio for desert was just exceptional. We also tried the lamb chops that just melted in your mouth and the tiramasu which again, was full of the classic flavour you would expect. If you are in Rome, this is definitely worth a visit!

This place was fine for the touristy area. We got a rec from a server at a bar that it was a good place for pizza but we were a bit underwhelmed by both the pizza and the lasagna.

Lugar agradable para el almuerzo. Nos sentamos al aire libre, ya que el tiempo era agradable. Teníamos alcachofas romanas, pollo con patatas asadas y ternera con patatas batidas (el mejor de los dos platos). Buen servicio. Ten en cuenta que si compras vino por copa, aparentemente lo vierten dentro del restaurante, no en la mesa.

Los platos principales eran excelentes! El vino era muy bueno. Servicio fantástico. Ambiente realmente encantador. Los desiertos estaban bien... ..de lo contrario un 5.

28/08/2025: Good wood-fired pizza, just too small! Really small takeaways, they were the size of a normal plastic plate, friendly staff.
24/08/2025: It's a welcoming place, the food is good (very generous portions!), and it's also affordable. Excellent value for money. I recommend it. The service could be improved a little, but overall it's fine.

03/08/2025: A simple and elegant place without being pretentious, with knowledgeable and very friendly staff and delicious food: an excellent choice for experiencing Roman cuisine with some truly interesting twists. I definitely recommend it to Romans and non-Romans alike.
26/07/2025: Great food, not so for the service. Greeting was terrible — we were asked four times if we did look at the menu, before we could take our seats in a 3/4 empty restaurant. Some inflexible protocol which shows a total lack of attention to clientele. Priority towards a stereotype of fine dining standards or heavy biais towards a certain type of tourists. The interaction with the staff reminded me of the movie The Menu. What a pity because the wine and food are excellent.
